Sup AF, I've got an auto-widow/cheese going. She is at day 37, aside from some slight burn and just a tad bit of stretch, I think she is looking ok. So I've given her one feeding of half strength nutes ( 1 tsp. of Grow Big, and 2 tbsp. of Big Bloom. on day 32. She had a watering on day 35 and will be ready again for nutes in a day or so. Question is, should I go ahead and switch her to flower nutes on the next feeding, or should I feed her one more time with veg nutes? She is already 36-37 in. tall with some nice looking flower sites, but I've got maybe 1 1/2 ft. left before she grows into the light.

Also what can I do, if she grows too close to the light? I haven't lst'd before (2nd grow) and I accidently broke off a fat ass fan leave, that sounded like a piece of fresh green celery snapping. It made me weary of messing with her at all. The thought of snapping her main stem in half mortified me, when I heard that sound. :P Any good links on lst'in?

Notice how your leaves are stretching upowards. Its starving of light. That's also why its stretching like mad. Lower your light first of all. Seoncdly I switch to bloom when I see bud sites, so I would switch if I were you. But im no pro. Good luck

My light was higher than normal when I started her, due to another plant that was about to be harvested, but I thought I countered that by stacking things and getting her close enough to the light. No higher than 18in. and probably more like less than 1 ft. I've always noticed my leaves tend to turn up like that after I water, and the next couple days after. Sometimes they stand straight up, it trips me out a little. I don't know about starving of light, she is under a 400w HPS, 18/6.

Always stay on veg nutes until you see the vertical growth stop. At 37 days it should be slowing or already stopped. If so, then make the switch. See this thread for more info: https://www.autoflower.org/f44/life-cycle-auto-flowering-cannabis-5113.html.

Regarding the stretch, besides being too far away from the light, they type of HPS bulb you are using could also be a factor. Autos can be grown full cycle under HPS bulbs, if that bulb has an expanded blue spectrum. Blue light is needed for good veg growth and if your bulb doesn't have that extra blue it could be contributing to the stretch.

Hey Muddy good advice bro as always. One thing I do is for the first few times of giving flowering nutes I use both veg and flower nutes together (about 1/4 strength of the veg nutes) and 1/2 strength on the flower nutes. Not sure if this is the right way or not but it has always worked good for me.

Thanks jayp. I need to update my thread as I've started doing the same. I'm calling it a transition feed, 1/2 veg, 1/2 flowering. One feed only, usually right around the time I see veg growth slowing down.

Yup...did the transitional feed (upon advisement) as well...:)

I was wondering about this, but was scared to try it :P. Going to switch her today with the transitional feed .
