New Grower Switching from 18/6 to 24/0 after first pistils show up?

Check out the grow in my signature, you will be fine if you use that light cycle. Some say that plants need to rest, I am not one of those people. The ruderalis genes for most of these autos are from northern latttitudes wehere they basically get 24 hours of light for 3 months in nautre

Thanks for your help, derek420colorado.

Some people argue that a 24/0 cycle is recommended for the whole grow of autos, because Ruderalis plants from the far north of Russia get full 24 hours of non stop sunlight. This 24/0 deal totally makes sense to me, however it would also make my electricity bill swell up. I think I will go with the 18/6 to 24/0 plan.

I too am one of the "lights around the clock" growers. And that begins as soon as my germed seeds hits the medium. Ruderalis is a tough competitor and thus, you can somewhat abuse and enjoy more options with autoflowers. The only time I kill the lights is if a heat wave comes my way. I don't have any electrical issues or budgetary issues, so I pelt them with light, light, light

I like 24hrs as well, but often give them an "ambient rest" where I rest my lights and fans for a couple hours during the heat of the day, but I unzip the tent and leave the regular house lighting on, so maybe they're "resting" a little but no true dark period--more like some clouds passing by. I have no idea if the "rest" is truly beneficial or not but in this way I provide occasional rest without set timers.

Is it a good idea to veg an Auto at 18/6 in order to save electricity, and then, when the plant shows sex, to switch to 24/0 in order to maximize the amount of light the buds receive?
Anyone done that?
Thanks!
I was told not to , but I only been growing for one month go to my page and check out my last couple posts I have posted the same thing
