Lighting T5HO 2ft 2 bulb 24watts each tube - Distance suggestions for diff age vegetating seedlings and plant

If it isnt too much trouble please post your own personal results of diff distances for vegetating autos w a t5 fixture.......trying to narrow down what distance my light should be from my seedlings as it grows.......thanks everybody

I hang a 2'x 4 bulb fixture just high enough to be able to take a tall seedling tray dome off the tray of seedling or clones. Once rooted in the pucks I remove the dome and plant into 3" jiffy pots. The roots grow threw the jiffy pots for easy transplanting into big pots. By the time the plants are ready to grow into the light its time to move them out to the big girl light.
So I just went n measured. Its 12" from the top of the puck aka root cube. 13" from the table. When I take the plants out they are whithin an inch or two of the light. Sometimes if your gone on holiday or something they grow rite into the T5 lights...its no big deal they bounce rite back.

Hmmmmm I don't veg with them but I have 1 24watt 2400 lumens sunblaze inside on each side of my cab I have 5 plants and 2 or 3 have been touching them and it has not hurt them, I guess it depends on the size of the plants possibly also my t5s have a protective plastic snap cover around the bulb so the leaves are not touching them so they are protected from the actual bulb. As long as you keep a eye on them and they have at least a inch or so of space between plant and bulb and there is no damage or crispy critters I'd say you are good, cheers mate.
