Mate get a parasene greenhouse heater. All you do is fill it with fuel and it will go for 2 weeks depending on which one you buy. They stock them at Homebase or look on Ebay.

They do not give too much heat off, just enough to warm up a 4x4 area, the greenhouse will trap the heat it makes. Just make sure to test it over a day where you can keep an eye on it and then you can decide how much ventilation to apply.
