Hey Guys,

I'm currently in the start of the second month of my first indoor grow. So far, pretty good I think. However, I started out with T5's, and am currently using them. My question is, I purchased the tent before I really knew what I was doing and I now see some limitations, mainly because of my disabilities it is hard to get around even in a 4X8 foot tent. I am about to get a 1000 watt HPS-DE, and I have the tent in my 12X12 foot basement room, it is already painted white, has 8 foot plus ceilings, so why should I keep using the tent? I think I can control the heat better in the room also, because I have central heating/air to the room. What do you you all think? Also, for shits and giggles I plucked a little bottom bud off of my 12 inch tall Fast Bud GSC's, dried it overnight, and smoked it in a bong today. I was absolutely expecting nothing, but I actually copped a nice little high from it, and the taste was so much better than anything I've been smoking lately, not harsh. I'm just surprised, I know they have at least another month almost. LOL.

Is that partly because you are growing too many plants?

I just had some GSC a little while ago. It doesn't lack for a good high. If I recall correctly, it carries a high percentage of thc.

No such thing as too many plants, Dude. Especially if you are wanting to start producing enough to keep yourself and your aged siblings in Phoenix Tears.

I grew in a basement room for years...if you can dial in the environment, I'd set the tent aside for breeding purposes...if your using the whole room, use the whole room. A tent would be needed if you were growing photos, and still need to access the room.

Thanks for the well thought out response. That was pretty much my route of thinking about the tent/room issue.

I agree, the room would be the way to go, if its got central thats even better. In a 12 x 12 I would run a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 1000w. I would go with the 4 to get the most out of your space. I would also only do a minimum of 4 and a max of 6 plants per 1000w. I wouod also do as suggested keep the tent incase you want to grow your photos a bit bigger or of you ever decide to chuck some pollen which I feel every grower has to do at least once lol good luck man would like to see the room when its finished.

Thanks FF, I don't know if I will be able to swing 4 1000 watt lights anytime soon, but one is a good start! LOL

Lol I hear you man. Hell I started with regular ass 100w cfls so I for 1 understand the struggle lol. 1000 is still a lot of light and capable of producing a lot of quality meds

If I had a spare room mate I'd use that you don't have to fill it and it will help with access as some tents are limited to what you can do with them.also I'd find it easier to control temps in a room as sometimes my temps go a little hot in the tent although I'm using 600w hid which kick out lots of heat
