New Grower This plant has been on a journey.

A week before Christmas I had to chop three nirvana blue mystics at day 60 because I ended up with some unexpected house guests and I did not want to worry about anyone happening across my closet. The yield was good but the smoke and high are very mellow and not real potent. I also had an auto blue mystic that was about 40 days. I gave it to a buddy and he has been keeping it on his back porch for two weeks. I got it back last night and have (2) 300 watt marshydro old models turned at 45 degree angles on each side of the plant. We have had good weather in that it has been 75-80 degrees during the day and 60-65 degrees at night.

The plant is budding up and looks healthy but it is now at day 59 and is no where near the first three were at the same point. It also has a lot more red hairs than the other three. I know a lot will happen the next the 3 weeks or so but I was wondering if there is anything special I could or should do to it. I gave it a good watering this morning using 1/2 of fox farm trio week 7 schedule and 6ml of cal/mag. Also, any reason for all the red hairs?

I will post pics tonight. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I really regretted chopping my plants early. I think it would have been safer to keep them growing because the odor while drying and curing seemed worse than while growing. Also, as this was my first harvest I was shocked at the amount of time and mess it took to trim, dry and start curing. Thank goodness for good filters. I am really glad to have a plant back up and running. I am planning my next 4-6 plant grow to start in march. I have a lot of house guests through out the year and I am trying to stagger grows around guest schedules.

Glad to see u back bro! Its always better to air on the side of caution and live to grow another day soo I'm thinking u made the right choice to chop em! Now I can't wait to see what you can pull off with a full grow cycle! Much luck brother..

Thanks guys, I am a little concerned about how depressing it was to go just a few weeks with nothing growing. I agree though better safe than sorry. It was a good test run on the stealth of my closet because I did have about 4 oz drying. I just did not have my lights on but fan/filter combo was on the whole time. I just need to light proof my door. I have tried weather stripping and towels and a curtain but still have a few light leaks. This is all new so I wanted to be extra cautious. It is hard to explain the purple light coming out of closet door in utility room to people. I told my girlfriend if her mom asked just say that it is our sex room and she won't want to look inside. I don't think I would have had any problems though. I also installed a lock on the door. I am pretty happy with my set up and amazed at the yields possible off of just a few plants, plenty for my personal use. Though I do keep finding myself on the mars-hydro web site.

Most of the Blue Mystics I've grown were able to process some nutes ... w/ those lights on that plant I'm sure you'll see it start to pack on the buds if you feed it some bloom nutes ... nice looking plant ... I suspect you'll hit it out of the park on your next grow.

Thanks Chester. You helped me a bunch on my first grow. I am glad to have this girl back. She was only outside for 10 days and we had great weather, not a lot of sun but temps were good. It is healthy but not nearly developed as my first grow at this stage. I have plenty of time to let it grow out. I have enjoyed the smoke from my first grow now that it has been curing for a few weeks. You can just tell though if it would have went another few weeks it would have been great. I have 1 more blue mystic and 3 mephisto seeds waiting to be dropped. Its looking like 02/25/2015. That will give me time to finish this one, get my soil right and maybe talk my GF into another light.

First, I am so glad to have girl growing. I maybe asking everyone to take up a collection to get me a counselor for the next time I have to take a break. Does anyone have any opinions on the 4 cfls hanging in the middle? 3 are 23 watt 2700ks and 1 is a 13watt uvb bulb. I am worried it is unnecessary except for the uvb light or worse that it is blocking my led light.

Hey man,. whats up???? Have not seen your around for a while.
I know how it feels bro. I had to chop my last grow down a few weeks early..it was still good smoke, but would have been much better left another 2-3 weeks. I had an emergency that insisted on me choppin it there and then....I regret it because, I didnt have to chop them early after all.....doh!!!!! deffinitely better safe then sorry lol.

Glad you back and at it man. Personally I dont think the CFL's are necessary, since you got some mad led action going on. Though I dont think its hurting. im not positive though. So, take my words with a grain of salt.
