To trim or not to trim

I grow out doors and I let nature dictate that for large fan leaves. When they yellow, I cut them.

As you get closer to chop, the small ones start to yellow too and I trim those. In the final couple days I try and trim whatever I can to get whatever sun I can to the bottom of the plant.

Indoor light penetration is your biggest issue. I clear fans that cover or shade growing buds, and try and have all the lower nurfle cleared by the 2nd or 3rd week of flower. It won't be much and just robs energy from the tops.

I have trimmed my auto sour diesel but only fan leaves just to let more light through to lower parts of the plant. I have heard that trimming auto can slow growth but I'm new to auto. As I said I took a few fan leaves out to let more light in.

I'm finding you can actually be fairly aggressive. I'm not quite as aggressive as with photos, but I keep stepping it up looking for issues. I imagine it is somewhat strain dependent. I've got a hazy girl now about 3 weeks from chop and most of the big leaves have been removed. Makes a big difference on the quality of the lower stuff.

if its a really healthy girl i tend to be a little bit rough especially with the bottom crap and if fans leaves are blocking buds i will tuck or completely remove them just in moderation just don't go mad and pics would help though pal
