Hey everyone, my name is Billy, new on this site but been growing autos for a while. I know from experience autos do not transplant well, mine do best planted directly in 3 gal pots, but my problem is I have over 30 reg auto seeds popped but not near enuff soil to plant each in their seperate pots while I wait to sex out males-the ones I previously transplant were all stunted in growth and did not get very big, the one s in 3 gal pots all got 13-20 in as they normally do for me. So can i put 2 or 3 seeds per 3 gal pot and cut males soon as they show??? Or maybe someone can tell me how to transplant an auto with good results if such is possible? I use fox-farm soil and only have 2 bags-no way out here to get more and it cost too much anyways. I am thinking of mixing fox-farm with sunshine mix and leaf-mold but have had such awesome results with 100% fox farm ocean forest i hate to change. Please answer asap as I have to put seeds in dirt today, hopefully one of you will see and answer this, as i need my medicine soon. PEACE! Billy

Hey and welcome aboard to wonderland sir,

You can cut the bottom of the tool so roots could go under and just plant it as it is afterwards.

Maybe you should look at the tiered method of growing. FD has posted extensively about this method which involves using two 16 oz (maybe larger because you want to get to sexing) Dixies, one with the bottom cut out which is placed inside another which has sufficient drainage holes. You germinate in this combo. When you're ready to permanently plant, remove the outer cup and plant the bottomless Dixie (with seedling) into your three gallon pot about halfway into the soil. Just remember to water both inside the Dixie cup and around the dixie cup. FD states your yields will go up because of more room for the roots.
Check the stickie "FD does small spaces" and "Grow one with FD. Also a general search will provide lots of info ...

Just my thoughts...
