Alright heres my newest thread for my tyrone stompers I won. The same set up on light 600 hps and 360 watts of led. The soil will be roots organic original with the mephisto super soil. I did about 3 gallons super soil in each pot and 2 gallons reg soil. There will be 5 tyrones if they all pop so far 2 have the other 3 are slow going but will eventually. There will also be a toofless alien running with these in super soil too. Thanks pics and dates soon as they are planted and growing.

5 for 5 gonna plant sunday moring they still need 24 hours of soaking.

Nice!

Quick question, being new round here and all - How do you win seeds? Been spending so much time with DIY threads and grow journals that I am just realizing there are contests?
Also was looking at the super soil but mephisto is out of stock.

Good luck with the grow, subbed for sure :pop:

I won on instagram im pretty active on there and spread the good word about mephisto genetics. I think the super soil should be back in stock this coming week. I'll be getting a few packs before its gone again.

Really? Man I really gotta spend more time on instagram. That's pretty cool.

Thanks for the super soil info, am pricing up what I need/want/can afford and was looking at my options. I really want to go organic this grow. At least as close as I can achieve.
You use an 8x4 @CaptainDave420 correct? I am on my way to a similar grow as yours it seems. You think a 1000 watt would work better along with the led you have? I want to do a cob build but right now I only have two 600w hps and was looking to go to a 1000 with the cob.

I have been out of the game for a few years and things have progressed in a lot of ways for the indoor grower. Getting excited!

Currently no only my 5x5 is running. My 8x4 is sitting due to space and no lights for it cant afford it yet. Bought that tent off my homies pops he was hurting and I said ill get it up by this summer lol. I honestly would say if you wanna do a 8x4 go with 2 630 watt cmh lights on movers like 3 foot each light and that would crush it on gpw and efficiency. A cob set up for 8x4 would be really expensive. Or just run auto cobs with your 600s and that'd be dope. Diy is cool and all but can get expensive if your planing on top bin chips at 50 to 60 $ for one plus drivers and heat sinks and everthing else. Most guys push 800 watts or more in a 8x4 with cobs.

That's exactly the predicament I am in. I want to tinker and DIY some cool ass set up but I need to get it up and going asap. A lot of options out there.

Best bet right now is to find what I can use for now, get my 600 w hps in there and build a cob in the meantime. It is real tempting to just get two of those on movers though. Any grow journals around using cmh? I am gonna have to go take a look around. Five years of not growing has me behind, good thing I found this place!

Those double ended CMH run pretty pricey. I am definitely intrigued though.

Ran a metal halide many years ago. 1998. That thing ran hot as hell. It was definitely not intended for indoor gardening!

I always say you pay for what you get those de 630w cmh are 1k hps killers. For 450 bucks thats not bad. I'm ordering a 315 asap.

The Sun Spectra and Growers Choice both run 330 for the 315w set with bulb. I am almost breaking out the plastic right now. I already can't afford the minimum payment anyhow.

If we can't afford to eat I can always grow some food in the tent. Maybe build some sort of trellis deal and get some tomatoes and peppers going?
