Funny when I was in the States my American mates were always like.. 'Cup A Tea Sir' 'OK Mate' and 'See Ya Later' in there best fake British accents.
This was East coast (New England) and the ladies there are way less susceptible to the British charms.

That said, OMG when I was in SoCal (got that right ant I)... Yea southern California riding my dirt bike and living the dream, the sweet sweet ladies there treated me like Royalty itself. Everywhere we went it was 'Are You Englishhhhhhh!'. I can see the white teeth now and all those sweet sweet dreamy girly girls... Heaven! (yea shallow a know a know but still heaven for a little bit at least)

as an ex-pat of almost 40 years I have a real problem chatting up UK chicks when I go home. They all sound like my mum and I simply can't speak to them in any sort of flirtatious nature without feeling really weird lol.

American chicks on the other hand... always fall for the remnants of my accent and stories of the motherland muhahaha
