Hey everyone,

Im currentlt growing 4 critical rapido under a 400w HPS in a ds90 grow tent. I have a seed thats a photoperiod plant called kandy kush from reserva. I was planning on growing it for 5 weeks then taking 6 cuttings and growinf these indoor for another 5 ish weeks then plant them outdoors in mid may or beginning of june.

The reason i have started this thread is because my lights are on 12/12 because the tent is in a place where I cannot run the extraction because of the noise. I was planning on putting the kandy kush with the critical autos.

Will the 12/12 light schedule be ok to grow the kandy kush to take cuttings from then these will eventually go outside. When I plant them outside there will be about 17 hours of daylight so they wont flower will they?

I hope that you understand the above any advice or help appreciated.

You need to run extraction in your tent, period. The plants need to breathe and you need to be replacing the air or you're laying out the welcome mat for mold. With a 400w hps your tent will quickly turn into an easy bake oven as well. You will also be dealing with more smell as the plants get bigger and head into flower. If you think sound is an issue just wait until you're running a grow without a carbon filter, half the block will figure it out.

If you grow a photo plant on 12/12 it will grow for a short time then flower. If you want to clone it then keep it on 16/8 at the very least, 18/6 to be sure.

There's no getting around either of those issues, so you may need to figure out another situation.

Sorry dude, i didnt mention a few things, I am running a carbon filter when lights are on. As for night time im running a mini dehumidifier. Its taking plenty of water out the air and its staying around 42% when lights off. The dehumidifier also blows air out of it so there is air movement.

So I cant really veg a plant for cuttings for outdoor in there then coz its on 12/12
Im going to place it in a light room then, when I get home I will put it in the tent till the tent goes off and put it back in the room.for when the sun rises so I can veg it.

Good to hear, but you should really be running that extraction fan 24/7. Seriously. Even if you're circulating air at night it's stale air. Your plants will thank you.

Edit: I forgot to mention. I've kept clones on the back of my private toilet in my bedroom bathroom under two 26w 6500k CFLs on a splitter while they rooted and grew a little. Clones don't need much to be happy and they can survive well enough under that bit of light while they wait to be transplanted. For a less than 20 dollar investment it's worth a shot, no? Kandy kush will finish late october man, just doing it to see if its possible lol.
