Hi everyone,
I have been growing in a micro tent with 40x40x80cm (1.31x1.31x2.62 feet) and with a 55w 3500k cree COB. Now I am building a box with 40x60x100 cm (1.32x2x3.3 feet) and I am wondering whether it is worth upgrading to a 100 w quantum board or not.
My considerations are, the cob does not veg very well, or at least that is my experience in the super small tent. So having a quantum board like a Spider Farmer SF1000 with extra blue light chips might help in the early stages. On the other hand, I am afraid it is overkill for such a small space and that I might be waisting money and electricity, as well as "burn" the plants.
Other question: since I have spent some money on the box and seeds, if I do decide to upgrade, I would like to keep the costs down. Thus, I am considering either a spiderfarmer or one of these qbs from alibaba with added UV. Anyone has experience with these?
Thanks for the help!
Best,
Odissey
