Hi there folks only new to this and looking for a bit of clarification as its my first ever grow, I was just wondering what everyone thinks of vegging under 2700k's....I now know that this causes stretch and potentially lowers the yield but can anyone tell me how my 3 day old baby is getting on, personally to me she looks healthy as can be and doesnt seem to be stretching to much. Ohhh and she's a Northern lights/big bud auto and i have her on 20/4.
If anyone would like to shed some light then by all means please you are a legend. Thanks lads :D

Does anyone know how i link pictures with this threat I'm quite confused haha :)

of course you can veg under that light just fine but 6500k is highly recommended or even mixed spectrum but you won't get much vertical growth if i'm not mistaken and they won't be as green and lush as they would be under a blue spectrum bulb unless you take pretty damn good care of her just my thoughts and opinions I could be wrong so anybody correct me if i am

I don't change my lights between veg and flower. Then again I'm using a 1000w hps. When I was using cfl I did though. As long as your lumens are great enough and you keep them within 6 inches she shouldn't stretch as much assuming your using clf's. Just remember the red spectrum promotes stem growth, and thus the stretch.

Thanks for the speedy replies guys really really appreciate it :D Would a 250 watt get me through the veg stage i have the light just about an inch or two above her she sprouted up on the 3rd of july and i have the pics from the 7th of july up and on my profile if anyone could give me some input on how they look that would be amazing, Thanks again lads :D

Yeah i completely get you mate its my first time and personally she looks really really healthy since she sprouted up pics are posted on my page if you'd like a look haha :) Thanks for the reply man

Nice, just checked your album. She looks great, but I'd back that light of a bit. She's just a wee one and you don't want light burn. Give her around 6-8 inches until her singles fill out a bit them you could lower it again if you want a shorty, if not keep it from 4-6 inches or else over night she might grow into the light burning the poor lass. :2cents: tons of Leaving a karma clou sent your way!
