This is so exciting to see the first ad going up for the new recreational marijuana business. Man, when I sold pot 40 years ago, I almost went to prison. Now I can get paid for it! Too bad I don't have time for a job. *LOL*

compensation: $12.00 per hour cash

On July 8th Main Street Marijuana in downtown Vancouver will be making history when we open one of the first state licensed legal retail marijuana stores in the state of Washington. We are looking to hire outgoing, friendly, knowledgeable sales associates to help launch what will be a multi-billion dollar industry.

Sales associates will work 30-40 hours per week, with a semi flexible schedule as needed. There is HUGE opportunity for advancement and growth. $12.00 per hour cash to start.

We will be interviewing the week of June 30th, and need people who can start immediately. MUST BE 21+

Going to be one long line.

Fun jobs.

Cheers

An hour away from where? You can google for that answer. While there are many people who either got their license or won the lottery, not that many are going to open the 8th.

Beware of the scam. No legit business pays in cash. The few that might would call you a sub contractor, and for a sub $12 hr equals poverty.

RR, they HAVE to pay in cash. They can't have a checking account. But to be honest, I hope you are right and there ends up being a license available. It would be illegal to hire someone as a contract employee at a retail store. I've done research into that as I first did that with my home business. I had to change and make them employees with taxes and the whole works.

Subcontracting at 12 bucks ahour is a slippery slope going down. The employee will not pay the right amount of taxes because they have to eat and survive. They will end up in trouble with the IRS. In order to make 12 a hour legally he would need at least 20 a hour to make sure the gov stays off of your back at least in Canada you would need that much we are one of the most taxed people in the world and among the most passive too that is why we roll over and take it IMO

It's all relative. For people in states with a low minimum wage, $12 is huge. For those in higher minimum wage states like Washington, $12 is not that far above Minimum. If it is a contract job the only difference is the employee must have an additional 7.5% in FICA tax. If one has No job and can't get fired because they smoke pot, $12 and hour on contract or on payroll is a huge win.
