I was wanting some advise on how you water.
I have well water going through a dual cylinder water filter and salt softener then a pair of drinking water filters. I take this and test ph with hana tester.
my ph seems to change the longer the water runs. I fill a bottle and test ph maybe 8 range then I add a pinch of ph down crystal then it will go too low, so I dump half out and fill up again, a hand full of times trying to get to 6.5-6.8 range. as im doing this the water from the tap seems to get close to ph I want right out of tap.
do you run tap awhile when you get water? or should I get water and let it set to use next day?
I thought you might be able to teach me something im missing here. with my watering. thanks.

I use Citric acid crystals to lower my Ph but I do not add the crystals directly to the water. I dissolve 2 tbs in a pint of distilled water. That gives me a solution that is at 1.5 Ph. I find this to be easier to dose my water with. My Water comes out of the tap between 7.6 and 8 but I find it is usually lower in the spring and higher at dryer times of the year. I am going to let it run a little and see what happens. I always just fill my jugs and let them sit for a few days. I am new to this indoor growing thing but have been aging water for a few decades for my fish. My water will drop in Ph slightly after a few days if I use it out of the hose. It does not go through water softener and I believe it is from Calcium carbonate precipitating out. [edit] I use graduated dropper to add my acid solution to my nutes/water
