Hi folks, back again with my dilemmas...I'm growing 9 ladies (5 white widow,3 candy kush and 1 northern lights...) in a 1.2x1.2x2m with a 600hps...they were seeded straight into soil(biobizz all mix). I didn't pre soak the pot enough because the pots where quite dry a day after most of my seeds had sprouted so I stupidly try to introduce water by soaking the sides of the pot and using just a half a capful for the plants. The leaves of the candy kush developed a slight yellow tinge and I thought maybe too much water so I have have not added any water for 5 days and if I have to be honest I now think that it was nute burn(if that is possible at this stage) because all the plants are looking reasonably healthy..my question is,after todays light cycle is over I believe my girls are going to need some water but I'm not to sure how much. They are now 8 days old and like I say healthy enough,I'm dropping the light by 2 inches a day and I know its getting warmer at pot level so how much water do you recommend at this stage? Another question, how long per day do you have to run the extractor fan for..my reason for asking is that it saps the humidity out of the tent and I know at this stage it needs to be slightly higher so I'm trying to figure out how to run it and for how long without it lowering the humidity too much...all info is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance....Sean and Patsy.....

At eight days old you should make sure the entire pot is moist.Just water until you get a little water running out the bottom of the pot.The tap root is growing fast and you dont want it to hit any dry spots. You should not be using nutes yet, wait another week and just give them a very light dose. You should run you fan all the time. What is your humidity at? If it gets to low buy a small mister humidifier at wall mart for around thirty bucks,I do this and it works great.

thx for the info...I am afraid of dry spots but I'm also afraid of over watering...my plants are in 11 liter pots so how much water is enough...the humidity is 58% at the mo but if I switch the extractor fan on it drops to below 40 and at the mo thats too low....I can run it all the time in 2 and a half weeks because 40ish% is what I read is suitable after week 4.....

Moisture meter is a suggestion...weight of pot is my fav...requires knowing dry weight...my rule is no nutes til 3 weeks and healthy...

Watering is a tough thing to get a handle on! It was very hard to me to sit on my hands and not water! Namvet25 has the right of it. You'll be fine.
