So I just popped my RQS white widow in the ground. I started a timer for 18 hours, but I've heard some things about leaving lights on 24/7 till it pops out of the ground. Should I leave on till stem comes out? Or go 18/6 immediately? And if I leave on for 24/7 do I turn lights off for 6 hours when it pops or start the 18 hour then? And also what are the water measurements I should use till it pops? Gonna be starting my grow journal when it pops buuuut.

Let me preface this by saying I'm no expert...that being said I leave my lights on 24/7 for the first three weeks in an attempted to promote as much vegetative growth as possible and then I back them down to 18 on 6 off. Just be sure not to have the lights too close to your seedling to avoid light shock. Good luck with your grow. Be for warned it's very addictive!

You want to keep the surface moist. Not wet. Using a spray bottle makes it easy to dampen the surface occasionally. If you cover the container with plastic wrap you'll create a humidity dome and shouldn't have to water until you remove it when the seed sprouts. Otherwise, you're looking at spraying twice a day (depends on temperature, humidity, use of circulation fan, etc.).
