Hello, I will be growing a Think Different strain, as I was looking for an auto for mostly daytime applications (hate the couchlock), single plant, personal use. I am looking to maximise the yield by putting in effort as growing will be stealth. I see it is well tried and brings great results, I've read quite a few reports on here that lead me to decide on nutrients, I'll be using Biobizz root juice on the first 2 weeks, then switching to fish-mix and adding biobloom after the 4th week or so along with Ca/Mg supplementation, under 20/4 light constantly, flushing it on the week before harvest, however no one mentions strict guidelines for watering. The light medium will be CFL bulbs, calculated on lumen. Now I am researching on the best reflective material, everything is available. I plan to add CO2 via fermentation tank, the tent will feature exhaust with a carbon filter and an air intake, along with 2 small fans to blow on the plant on the inside.

Welcome to AFN. Stop by our Introduction forum and start a thread so our members can get to know you.

MJ likes to go through wet/dry cycles so the time to water is when your pots feel light. Get a feel for them when they are almost completely dry and only water again when they feel that way. Over watering is a mistake a lot of new growers make. Too much water can cut off needed oxygen to the roots, resulting in stunted plants.

What kind of soil are you planning on using? Also check our Organic forum. There is a good sticky thread on Biobizz nutrients, including a feeding schedule.

Thanks for the quick reply, it seems that the only indication of watering was that simple after all and it didn't even cross my mind, lol. As for the soil none of the recommended soils are available here and I'd think importing 15kg of soil would be quite a bad decision financially. I know that the average consistency of the soil should be light, I'm reading that I use normal soil with around 25% perlite to make it more airy so it is better suited to the plant. If you are referring to this thread https://www.autoflower.org/f89/bio-bizz-knowledge-base-21587.html I've read through it all, along with quite a few Think Different reports and this is where I am learning from by studying it. Also I am impressed by the quality of this fora, when I was searching around I hadn't found such a site with the coherent and decent reports and information ratio outweighing the whole '420' culture by that much.

As long as the soil you are using doesn't contain any time release nutrients you should be fine. If it doesn't contain any lime, make sure to add some to help balance and stabilize your pH. One tablespoon per gallon of soil mix should be sufficient. Bear in mind that lime takes 2-3 weeks to become effective, so if you can, mix your soil a month ahead, moisten it and let it sit before using. Use dolomite, or garden lime. If you don't have one already, you'll need a good digital pH meter to measure the pH and EC/PPM of your feeds. It can also be used to test the pH of your run off water. I forgot to mention that when you do water, give enough so that about 10% runs out the bottom of the pot. When nutrients are broken down they create a bi product, which are salts. If allowed to build up in the soil they can create issues. That extra 10% water helps to leach them out of the soil. You can capture and test that water to get an idea of what your soil pH is. I would also recommend investing in a Control Wizard Accurate 8 soil probe. It's easier to use than capturing run off and will give more accurate readings.
