Hi all!!! Deciding what I need to buy for my first grow. Planning to sow seed before end of March. Question about water though.

My artesian well water tests at 2 ppm.

What, if anything should be done to it before using it for my plants?

Thank you,
Toad

My well water comes in at 10 ppm. I dont do anything special to mine, I just add nutrients to mine:Sharing One:
My well water's PH is in the low 5s, so i do add some PH UP to it:thumbs:
best of luck to ya with your first grow.... One love and happy growing

Give your water a PH check and see where it is

I agree with stylez. I wish I had well water instead of tap. Since you're doing a soil mix grow, all you'll need to check is the pH. :peace:

I like to add a calcium/magnesium supplement to raise the starting ppm to around 100 - 125. If you're planning on using the AN pH Perfect line this will be a must for it to work correctly. For other nutes, add the cal/mag, then add your nutrients and adjust your pH. Speaking of pH, what is the reading of your well water?

Ah, I assumed you already had one since you had the reading on the PPM. Yes, they are a must. Get one that does both pH and PPM.

Actually, this is a joint venture with my parents. Weird right? It's their water. The 1000 watt 55x55x79 complete kit from HTG in Portland, Maine is what Dad wants to start with. Comes with Roots Organic nutrients.

Cool Folks ... :Sharing One:
