Finally uploading pics of my room. I only took two and you can't see my humidifiers, my intake fan, exhaust fan, and oscillating fan, but they're all there. I designed the PVC system to adjust the light heights as the girls grow. That's also 6 t8ho 4ft bulbs in the fixtures. I know they're kinda far away right now, but I'm guessing the cfl's are providing enough right now. I'm definitely looking for ur guys thoughts and opinions cuz this is my first time.

Looks like a nice clean set up mate.

If that is carpet in there then that is something that need to come out(in my opinion).

It will hold onto moisture and any spills, which could cause high humidity and bud rot later on down the line.

I would also recomend that you add refective material to the floor too. it will make the space easier to clean and it will reflect all the light that is currently being absorbed by the dark surface on the floor.

Good luck with your grow mate

Looks like a hospital.

Nice job, I hope your grow goes well also. That is a neat lift you made for the lights.

Good karmas your way.

Peace

Good to hear from the pros! And seraphim19, it's the outdoor/indoor carpet, the stuff you golf on or have on a patio outside, so do u think that would matter? I do like the idea of putting reflective material on the ground, I just don't wanna glue it directly to the concrete so I'm a bit iffy still. Now I know you can put cfl's within inches from the plants bcuz they don't emit a ton of heat, will it make a huge difference in the growth of the plants if they're 6-12in away?

Hey bro as far as the carpet goes; you'll be just fine as long as there is no carpet pad underneath it and as long as it's not jute-back carpet (plant fiber based.) Carpet itself actually doesn't really retain water very well, most moisture/mold problems people have come from the pad being soaked underneath (this is why when your basement floods and you have carpet, you have to pull your carpet up and strip the pad.) I would still aim to keep moisture off the ground (keeping the room clean.)

Thanks thanks! I'm a neat freak as it is so keeping the place clean won't be a problem. Anyone know about bug control? It's becoming warm outside and my basement gets loaded with lil pests cuz were in the woods. How can I keep them out the room?

How do you get the dirt to stay in the pots with them on the side like that!?

hehe just kidding dude looks like a potency lab clean as a whistle.

CFLs light penetration distance is only like 8" and since they don't kick out a lot of heat you can snug them right up to your girls. And unless you train them to grow horizontal you're going to need some side lighting (even then you might want some anyway). You might just be able to get away with clipping some $6 reflectors to that PVC and tossing 40Ws in them.

Edit: oh looking more closely a the photos, looks like you already planned for that. Cheers!
