Lighting what led , cob , or quantum boards

hi ,
my grow area is 4 x 4 x 7.
my bulb in that area is a 600w hps.
i normally pull between 15 - 20 oz`s with this.
lately i replaced this with 315cmh and have pulled upto 15oz`s.

what led ,how many cobs / quantum boards will produce 15+ in that area ???
could i add 4 cobs to my 315w cmh ??
dont want to go over 600w

Your in the same boat as me then mate.
I just want hps results for less electricity usage.
Ive been thinking of going with 8 50w cobs 400w total that should easily outperform 600w hps

Besides the spectrum being better the efficiency is much better in the cmh. That's why you just about pulled the same yield with half the wattage. On paper this adds up perfectly as well as my own experience with cmh and hps. Adding in 4 cobs to get you up to 500 watts would definitely blow a hole in that tent. Lol in a good way.

yea exactly, do you think it will be overkill in a 1.2 tent ? ive now bought one 50w cob from todogrow in spain , 150 euros including post.ive found the drivers in the uk but not the heatsinks . going with 4 cobs and 315 cmh . atb

thanks @BigSm0 Thats def the way im going,im after better tasting,smelling,looking,denser bud. ive noticed the cmh produces far superior bud to hps ....so with a few cobs added should be quite tasty indeed. atb

It may be a little to much but you could always remove cobs as needed. How were the plants under the cmh?

they produced just under 15 oz of mephisto skywalker but 315w just isnt enough for that size tent, just need a little bit more to fatten them up
,make them denser ??

You started with the hps correct? If so be happy you didn't waste thousands on leds before you realized cobs were even a thing. Hps - cmh - cobs is the fast track.
