What's causing this discoloration?

...Both soil and hydro plants are ready for more food, that's likely why,...I don't know hydro well at all, but only 200 ppm's is very low for feed, should be up around 1000ppm..?.... So, your tap water is only 30 ppm's? That's really soft water for tap! Problem is, such soft water has poor buffering capacity (low CaCO3= Calcium carbonate), and as such pH is susceptible to wild swings from small inputs,... the Ca-Mg supplement you have, does it say it contains carbonates? If so, it'll help with both the buffering, and the possible Mg defc.,...still not positive about it,... get that soil pH up, and feed them more! How are you testing pH, with a meter, and run-off from the pot? Do you have pH adjusters for the hydro' as well?.... get you fert's and water up to 7.0, to counteract on that acidic soil some,...and dose with Ca-Mg at label directions, full strength,....we'll see how the girls respond over a couple days,... :smoke:

Ahh no no ive only been measuring ph pre water, typically I fill a gallon jug and add GH ph up or down to my desired level via digital ph pen.

ill try that runoff method, makes more sense. Also will go full cal-mag dose and see what happens at ph 7.0, should I feed them now or stick with cal-mag at first?
