i think you can at any point if youre gentle but it wont matter too much for the first 2 weeks id say. id just let it grow till maybe 3-4 leaf sets then you can attach it to the edge of the pot easily and not risk breaking the stem etc. personal preference though. what youre doing is lowering the dominant shoot. the plant sends growth hormones to the highest point most of all so we bring that down and it splits the hormone more evenly between the next few highest.

Ya I didnt know if it was better to let main stem get a little stronger or if its easier to do when younger. They are on their 3rd set of leaves now on day 10. Im thinking waiting till like day 20?

yeh either is fine anyway day 20 sounds good.
the stem should be pretty bendy for a good while anyway, they stiffen up as they progress through flower.

Whats the easiest thing to use to tie them down? String and clips? Have a anchor at first node the bend from the last one made?

screen! screen of green is super easy since you just need to bend things down and not clip/tie/twist tie/whatever everything. otherwise, i like to get a roll of twist tie stuff from the hydro store. that's super easy to use.

I'm a huge LST fan. I start at 14 days and use a nice soft pipe cleaner. You can bend and easily attach to side of pot. I usually get 15 - 20 colas with Auto Assasin. LST is great.

I start mine right before the stem starts to harden up and fatten up.
