Hi peeps
just went to buy some of these and realised they come in different gram weights. Is there a general guide of what to use?
cheers.

I actually like the Boost product better. I use the big packages only when I overdry my colas. I put them in a 1/2 gallon jar with the boost packs for a couple of days to get them back up to the 62% RH and then I seal them in a Grove bag for cure and storage. I live in a frickin' desert and it is easy to over dry here.

I use the Integra Boost 62% humidity packs. If I'm storing in quart jars I'll use the 8gram pack but I'll normally just get the
larger 67gram packs that I use in 1/2gal jar or the large rubbermaid containers to get my buds to exact humidity before
jarring or bagging in the grove bags for cure.

Size "67" will do up to 450g in a large jar.

Size "8" says one bag will do 28g. I have found the size "8" works well in a 16 or 32oz jar. (I know metric/imperial back and forth)

Not really a size in between unfortunately. With the way you're growing, a 10 pack of the "8"s might be the ticket. Plus, if you go to GroveBags later, you can always use the jar/boveda to get to 62% and then bag and seal for cure/storage.

However, 2/3 size "8"s may be easier to fit and find. If you leave them in their sealed packaging they stay fresh for almost 2 years. The packs themselves, 3-4 months. Also, if you overdried i have found the Boveda bags raise and hold RH better than pulling it down. I would also advise having a hygrometer in the jar for a quick visual check in case you need to add another bag if you go with the small size.

I'm using both products (grove/boveda) in combination.

I recommend ordering from the boveda website as Amazon and other third party sites don't have everything and don't guarantee you fresh packs.

I find Boveda packs easy to recharge once they get dry. I put them in a sealed mason jar on a screen that holds them above water in the bottom. A few days in there re-hydrates them nicely. I am still using packs that are over two years old and have been re-hydrated two or three times.

I find the 8 gram packs good for a liter mason jar. If I want to speed things up a bit, I throw in a couple of them. A digital hygrometer in the jar works well to monitor things, and will confirm that the Boveda pack is doing what it should.

Im using wet sponge as I found its the easiest for me... I just put dry bovedas in classic big zip bag, in a way that the wet sponge doesnt touch the bovedas and seal it. Usualy after 2 days theyre rdy to go. :wiz: but Im changing them for brand new after two recharges anyway ... so usualy after a year Im buying new ..
For oldfart: bro thats cool story and if it works for yoi then good for you, but I dont believe it as they usualy go aprox. -5 in humidity after third and other recharge for me ...

Bovedas are just a vapor permeable package filled with a designed mixture of salts. I don't think they wear out. As long as they dry out without leaking, they are contributing moisture as they should, and as long as they recharge in a saturated atmosphere, they are absorbing moisture as they should. Their effectiveness can also be confirmed by putting a cheap hygrometer in the container the Boveda packages are stored in.

I'll keep mine as long as their behaviour confirms that they are still working.

I usually use the big ones to draw down or raise up the humidity, then use the smaller ones, sometimes multiples in the storage jars. I also use the 72 % in the bigger pack to get humidity where I want it b4 pressing. I will have to try re-upping, I use a hell of a lot of packs..

You should check the RH in the jar with a hygrometer as well. I have found that bovedas don't do a great job at raising or lowering the humidity. Just my personal experience, other people seem to do fine with them.

Would be interesting to hear if anybody has put a boveda into a jar with a hygrometer and seen the RH adjust to 62
