I do most of my own work on my trucks. 1985 Dodge Ram D150 with a 318 and a 1985 Chevy 1 ton dump with a 6.2 liter diesel. I love those old trucks. Virtually no electronics, plenty of room to work and cheap repair parts.

I work on every one of my vehicles littleT I dad showed me how to work on cars and trucks at a very early age and I have been doing it ever since. When I was about 10 years old my go-kart blew up so he showed me how to rebuild the engine and from then on if I wanted something to ride I had to work on it myself or it would just sit there. Now I have a Mustang that I drive around and also drag race sometimes that I had built myself from the ground up and it has a little over 1000 horsepower to the back tires. Has a 101mm turbo on a 421 stroker motor so I love working on anything with a wheels and a motor.

Is the zip ties to keep it in time littleT have never used them before like that but very smart that's were a lot of people mess up is not keeping it in time and when they put it back together its 180degree out or they cant get it back in time.

I just sold my 65 impala convertible, I seriously regret that decision in hindsight. Bought it totaled and rebuilt it from the ground up. The only upgrades she had were replacing the tired 283 and 2spd tranny with a 400 4 bolt main and a th400 and ousting the bench seat in favor of SS buckets and center consol. I miss that lady, they dont makem like that anymore.

My current project truck is a 1995 S-10 I finally finished the 3 inch body drop, and full air suspension so it now lays rocker panels. I still have to clearance the lower control arms to get it to fully lay flat. Truck.jpg Its a bad phone picture but oh well. Next up ill start getting rid of those pesky door handles, tailgate handle, and straighten out some minor dings before she goes under primer!

Also, I recently got a new toy to play with. It's not a truck, but a 1987 Porsche 924S. Going to be a full restoration project. The interior is in descent shape, no rust on the exterior. Don't know the condition of the engine yet, no key. Needs sand blasting, new paint, probably upgrade the suspension, new wheels, etc. I've wanted one all my adult life, just glad I got it while I'm still young enough to enjoy it.
