Hey,

I know this is asked to death. So i'm sure this is annoying thread to see pop up. But I feel like i've scoured the internet for answers and get mostly things pertaining to photoperiods. I'm growing 3 girl scout cookies by fastbuds. They're all maturing at different rates.

I read Muddy I believe it was his post from years ago to wait until leaves start yellowing however mine are all still deep green, yet my buds are maturing fast. It's my first grow.

The plant in question that I want to flush I would say on it's most mature buds is close to 70% orange hairs, but on the other buds 50/50. I definitely want to flush, i'm not worried about when I cut the plant for harvest. I wouldn't mind seeing some of the white hairs on the lower buds turn a bit more orange. Maybe this is the wrong indication.

I am using a Jewelers loupe and some don't look too milky but I would say that 95% majority of them are milky. I'm on day 51. My other two plants have 1-2 weeks to catch up in maturity.

How do you decide when you are to flush your autos? I am growing in coco.

Coco grows call for just one week of flush before harvest. Unlike soil which is two weeks before harvest. You always have the choice to perform a staggered harvest if trichomes are not where you want them.

Or you could just not flush and throw a bud on the light hood for a few hours for when it's ready

I guess my thinking is, how do you tell when a flush should start? I watch a lot of "from seed to stoned" and he mentions that when he notices his trichomes have turned cloudy, he flushes. In other forums i've seen people say they wait until pistils change color before looking at trichomes. I had some trichomes amber early on sugar leaves. All of my buds are showing cloudy trichomes. They're all swelling. But all three look so different from one another. I know it's all a part of that learning process though. But what a mind fuck. This decision has easily been the hardest haha.

Then take the stress out of it don't bother  you can make it as hard or as simple as you want
:toke:

Staggered harvests are a great idea :d5: caller number 2

Hairy is correct. Im on mobile or I would link it but they did a bunch of studies on it and have shown, despite what stoner joe thinks, there is no difference in the bud if you flush or not.

Happy growing mate!
Try telling that to someone whos been feeding at 1800ppms half the grow... haha. I only flushed my first grow for 3 days in coco and goddamn what a mistake that was. Next time same nutes, flushed for 9 days and wow, what a difference. Actuly smokeable haha. If your growing organic, sure dont flush but damn if your using bottled nutes. Please do
