WPM and baking soda ?

Hi guys , I am getting a little WPM on a plant with 2 weeks till cropping . Have looked around for a treatment and found that 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 1/2 teaspoon of liquid soap ,to a gall of water is ok .. But has anyone tried this on weed? Is there a better way ??? she is a reasonable size plant and hard to get in to the middle , she still has 2 or 3 weeks to go .have a bit of a humidly problem , is at 55% to 60%

I take it that no one knows if baking soda works on WPM

pardon the delay! yes, baking soda will work; It changes the surface pH to a range that mildew hates, and the soap acts as wetting agent (make it coat more evenly instead of beading up)... Best to use a dedicated product for this, as they don't have the harsh detergents etc. in them, but mild castille type is OK too! There's a similar product made out of Potassiun bicarbonate (vs. baking soda Sodium bicarbonate) that works even better! Same pH deal, plus the K+ ions screw with their ion balance... The dosage is okay; the K-bicarb' bottle calls for 2tsp/gal.... spray, leave for 2-3 days, and rinse or repeat if it's fighting back!
This can be be rinsed off too later before harvest, unlike neem oil residues-- though neem kicks butt! But you're in full bloom, so the less the better of any such things,...It may be a bit of a battle to keep it away for long, due to the spores still in there. You'll have to clean well after this harvest! .. More important is to check out why it's getting foothold; usually this is a poor air circ'/cool temps/High RH thing.. Can you get me that info?

Many, many thanks for the reply .I was sure it would work ,,,BUT had no idea of dose and how often. I did spray with the 1/2 teaspoon last night and can still see PWM ,but only a little.
Yes I did have poor airflow in the room 1200x2300x 2h , I have just 2 plants in there , 2 out of 6 seeds ,bloody males lol the fan was on a lower setting as the plants were smaller ,,,opps they grew up so fast .that was 2 weeks ago .I saw just a touch of wpm and removed the leafs .since then we have had some rain and very high RH .
needless to say the fan is now on high. I have a dehummiderflyer going flat out, the RH in the rooms is about 55% to 60% .
on a bright note the other plant ,( a Bubblegum ) has not got a patch of the wpm ..other plant is Girl Scout Cookies .
The washing off later when ready to crop ,,is it needed? ,will it taste in the smoke. If so should I take her out side and hose down , then cut and dry

:smoking: good! Getting the environment dialed in is as key as treatment... keep spraying and wearing it down! The bigger fans are getting tossed anyway, so rinsing them isn't that important, but some overspray happens, and a little rinse of the rest to knock loose and dissolve the residual salts is just wise,... do it early in the light cycle so there's plenty of time to dry, and keep that air moving all the time!
Another great product that takes all the residual worry away is Actinovate; this is a bacterial agent that puts the beat-down on other pathogenic fungi! check it out,... otherwise, if you weren't in bloom, I'd say neem oil as it has other benefits as well as anti-pest/fungal actions,... but it's an oily residue that's more difficult to remove....
