Hi all,

My Sugar Black Rose has two yellow/r uploadfromtaptalk1427201204322.jpgusty spots on its lowest leaves. She is at 17 days from seed, and has received ~1/4 strength General Organics nutrients for the last two waterings. These spots did start before feeding began.

My other two plants (Onyx) do not show any spots, for whatever that is worth.

Is this an issue I should be concerned with? Nutrient deficiency or fungus?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Using the GOBox? If so I'm on the same nutes. I wouldn't worry about those yet. Keep an eye out for continuing growth or spreading. My gals get burnt from the nutes from time to time so what I do is when feeding them, I dilute the nute mix with distilled water and they feed of it greatly! Little to no burn. They heal quickly though so I wouldn't stress to much unless they start to show burns all over. Cut back on nute feed if that happens. Just add water. Less is better than to much always remember that! They are pretty damn young yet as well....so less rather than more nutes. If your humidity goes above 70% that's when you worry about fungus or root rot. Keep your grow area moisture and dirt free in ground surface. Those plants are hardy but will grow fungus or mold it its to damp and soggy at bottom of floor.

Good luck mate! Looking good so far. Keep it up!

She is to young to have any deficiency.Could just be from a water spot.Any leaves that are touching the soil should be removed to prevent them from getting a fungus problem.

Thanks! I'm thankful humidity is in check. I'm 40% most of the time, rarely higher than that. I'll just keep an eye out I guess!

.... yeah, I'm with Nammy on this,... even if it is a defc., symptoms aren't clear enough to make a call yet,... what soil are you in, BTW? Reason being, you might be ready to up the nute' conc. to 1/2 strength... GO makes good stuff, but organics are pretty mild... are you including something to keep the soil herd up? because you're using organic based nute's, they need the microbes help in getting broken down into absorbable forms,...

Waira, I am using Sunshine Advanced Mix #4, which is supposed to contain endomycorrhizal fungi. Any suggestions as to what I might add to help break down the nutes?

..I think the BioRoot does some of this,... and occasional boosting of the soil herd with some type of inoculant (tons of choices) is a wise thing to do,.. their populations can fluctuate quite a bit depending on several factors,.. best to just cover that base and call it good!

Ok, thanks. I've just started using the nutes (including bioroot). I'll look into other inoculants.
