Yellowing?

Next time, rather than jump the nutes up when you have the 3rd node, slowly increase and observe the plants...every strain is going to react differently. Slow and steady increases are good.

Thanks for the advice! In the past I never used nutrients as early as I have this time and my plants always looked healthier at day fourty, with the exception of CalMag def.

I think on my next grow I will just wait until they show me that they need something then give a small dose of nutrients. How does that sound? I use miracle gro Natures Care Organic Potting mix. The last time I grew fast & vast I did it without the perlite and my plants did extremely well until close to the end. I may have used some fox farms nutrients here and there but that's it, very minimum I believe.

I would think you can hold off on nutes until about 2 weeks, give or take. I don't know much about that soil, though. I tend to stay away from MG products.

Okay so I think I learned some things today about my nutrient schedule, and a little about growing as well. I'm not sure if I am correct about this but...

I was just reading the back of my nutrient bottle. The nutrient schedule they use on the back of the box is for a LIGHT feeding. The feeding schedule is done in weeks. I read the back of my bottle and it says for a HEAVY feeding plants use double the nutrients on the schedule.

That being said, if I water twice a week then I should follow the feeding schedule on the back of the box. Two waterings with measurements used from the back of the box would equal a full dose each week. There is nothing on the box about flushing at any point so I do not think it is needed. I also read some where that people do not give plain water and if so they do it rarely, and they also use 1oz molasses. Does that make sense to any of you experienced guys? I'm trying to figure out things before I start my next grow.

If holding off on nutrients for two weeks do I start the nutrient schedule at week 3? Or do I just start from week one when giving nutrients.

Yes, no nutes until day 12 or 15. That nutes schedule assumes an established plant , not a seed that was just planted.

Plus, it sounds like your soil has at least some feed in it already. I think coco guys start DILUTE nutes earlier since coco doesn't offer any NPK, I'm not a coco grower though.

Start them easy and ramp them up gradually from feed to feed until they get a rich color or you see some tip burn, then back it off slightly. Study Waira's pic deficiencies sticky in the infirmary section here too so you know what to look for in terms of when the plants are over or under fed.

You just fell a little behind the curve this run, next time will go better. Just be patient as overfeeding can create disastrous problems as much as underfeeding can. You'll get it dialed though after another grow.

Yeah I also found out that the nutrient schedule on the back of the box is a LIGHT feeding. For heavy feeding plants it calls for double the amount listed on the box. Marijuana is a heavy right?

Also I've come to the conclusion that everyone here is correct, at first I had my doubts. Not that the people who replied don't know what they are talking about, I just didn't include a lot of info and they can't see the plants in person kinda thing.

While this has happened in the past it's always been a little bit later in the flowering stage with the same soil. That being said I got a new light this time and my plants have never been this big before. I did notice that the smallest plant is greener than any other plant which in my book would make sense right? Smaller plants should need less nutrients right? I would say it's half the size of the others.

One of the bigger ones still has a lot of green so to use it as a test plant or whatever I gave it nutrients according to the schedule on the box. That means while it was a LIGHT feeding, it's double what it has normally been given. I will pay attention to the new growth and see how it reacts in the near future. The last two times it was watered it was given plain water as I thought I was burning it.

All that being said my buds are still growing, and growing well I believe. Thanks for being helpful and continuing to reply as I know sometimes it can be annoying to help a newbie. I appreciate it.

How are they doing now?

They are all pretty much yellow! They are all still developing buds at a good rate I suppose.

I will assume that the Wipeout Express take a little longer than the Fast and vast as the buds are smaller. I'm on day 47 (or 48 now). I will post some pictures in a little bit and quote/link you to them here. I have a grow journal but I haven't updated in a while as nothing new is going on, the buds are growing that's about it.

That's all that matters is those buds are plumping!
