The strongest of the Northern Lights sprouts, Heidi, seemed like she needed more air and light. I moved her to the Smokin Deck, gave her a parasol. I'm checking on her frequently to make sure she doesn't start to wilt. I gave her a wire mesh cover to keep the squirrels from digging her up. This time of year they are busy looking for the nuts that they hid last season. I don't have a screen door on the smoking deck (it's too high for the mosquitos anyway). Last fall I found walnuts under my pillow, in corners of the stairs, and other odd places. If Heidi can handle being outside, Hilda will follow her.
I'm not sure if 420 and fermentedMark were joking about the parasol. If so I hope they have a good laugh at my expense. My dear Okie mama always said, "Son, if you're not good for anything else, you can always be a BAD EXAMPLE."
