CMH 315w....Low cost, Low power light with high power results.

Lighting Reviews details

Hello everyone......this is my review of the light I grow with, which is a CMH 315w.
There can be quite a number of CMH brand configurations, as a growing number of.....growers😁are starting to turn their heads towards CMH 315w, the number of companys that produce kit is growing too.....some offer all in one CMH 315w kits but I use a particular configuration for my growing, as follows below....
1) Phillips 315w Elite Agro bulb.

The best in the business in my honest opinion....these bulbs are slightly pricey at around £100,
I use the Agro bloom spectrum throughout all grows.
Another plus to CMH bulbs is that they throw out white light, which is quite close to natural sunlight(90% on the *CRI.)unlike the telltale orangey-yellow light HPS throws out.. :joy: ....also CMH bulbs last 20,000 to 24,000 hours and still maintain 80% of their original intensity after 20,000 hrs.... Nooice

2) Maxibright 315w ballast.... Maxibright say that their ballast are configured to run the Philips bulb perfectly, so that's what I use!....again, these are quite expensive at around £130 but I think it's worth it....

Side note:....YOU CANNOT USE A HPS BALLAST FOR CMH 315w. YOU MUST USE A CMH BALLAST!!
3) Maxibright Remote reflector

Reflectors are your personal choice, this one was the best for my grow space!!

I have really found CMH 315w to be the absolute best light, it's 10/10 for me....I have tried LED lights but I quickly moved back to CMH.....here are some plants grown with just a single 315w bulb...

Side Note:..... I am aware the products I use amount to around £250-300 ...and the title includes the words "low cost"......so for anyone wishing to become a user of this magical light, but finds the price tag of my equipment too much.......this bundle of items were top of the list on an eBay search for "CMH grow light" ....priced at £85.99 for all three items....not a bad startup price for beginners or those growers wanting to lower watts, without a compromise on quality.
