I have been looking for an automatic watering system and I am very inclined to use autopots. However, I grow in pure coco with AN ph perfect base nutrients because I love the simplicity of not having to ph and I am getting great results. I am getting tired of watering 5 times a day though. I started a similar post on another section but that derailed so I wanted this to be focused on autopots.
I have seen one of the more veteran users here use this combo of coco + autopot + ph perfect base nutes, but it seems he has not been active for some years now.
1) Does anyone have experience with this combo?
2) Should I mix in perlite or just do pure coco?
3) Should I decrease my nutrient levels because there might be salt buildup?
4) What about calmag? Is it difficult to manage with coco + autopots?
5) Regarding the reservoir, how do you mix the nutes? Do you just fill the bucket and then add the nutrients that this amount of water would take or do you pre-mix the nutrients?
6) Does anyone have any other suggestion for medium/nutes where I do not have to spend time/money ph'ing? (yes I have ph'ed in the past and its good to have control, but I found it to be very tiresome and I am not inclined to drop 100 in a good ph pen now)
