New Grower Critical Purple (A)

Technically not a FTG, but first time in 40 years.

GGT3x3
Mars Hydro 3000ts
AC Infinity 4"
4" inline booster

Seeds were germed in paper towels/plates, and put in jiffys. Fearful of too much transplanting, once it started to push roots through I put it in its final container, a generic cloth grow bag.
Soil is happy Frog. The bottom half has Giai Green 444 mixed in, the top is as packed.

Water is PH 6.14. I am adding DO, and Extreme Blend kelp/amino with every watering, and foliar spraying diluted weekly.

I ran the exhaust to the window, and quickly found 2 issues: Wind blows on that side of the building, HARD. My fan just wasn't up to the task, and dry running the lights several nights proved it. I added the booster, and its on 24/7

The other thing I discovered is that 4" aluminum dryer duct leaks like crazy. I ended up wrapping it with duct tape to seal it.
My AC infinity only is on with my lights, at a steady level 2.

Day temp 74-77F Night 60F
Humidy 40-60%

My lights are on full, at about 18"

The last photo is 3 weeks in. I'm guessing my short height is due to running the lights at 100% the whole time.

A litt more, and this bring progress up to date.

I'm at 4 weeks from germ now, and 8" overall height. Super tight and bushy.
I've done a little bit of LST, but no topping as this is my first autoflower, and I'm a little hesitant. I also want a baseline of what it will do on its own so I know later if advanced techniques actually helped..

I'm also using Recharge once a week.

Trying to catch up on how everything works here.

I found this site looking for other plants of similar age to compare, and see how others had trained this strain.

I drove a couple of stakes in, and tied to top down. I have 8-9 nodes growth at this point. This exposed a lot of light green that should get more light now. Of course This obscures the other side a bit.

My goal is to make sort of a half menorah, getting the top lower.

Do I want to try to scrog it, or what makes sense?

I punched some holes in the fabric rim, and paracorded the top to the anchor.

The stem is almost as thick as my finger at this point!

Already getting a trace of purple color (chromatic walking scale plays)


I've been slowly winching it down a little bit every day, and I'm getting good fresh green from this.

Is it safe to trim some to open it up for more light?

Any constructive criticism welcomed

I trimmed it a bit. Time will tell if it was bravery or foolish, but I feel good about it.
Added more tie downs to try to spread it out/down.

I probably should be feeding bloom nutrients at some point. I have Gaia Green 2-8-4 here, but haven't used it yet. Advice sought here

Done micromanaging for this week, gonna let God do his thing in there for a while.

5 weeks.

This is a thirsty girl in a 5 gallon cloth pot, I can't skip a day watering it.

I mixed a tablespoon of 2-8-4 with some soil, and top dressed it. The instructions called for several times that, but since it isn't easy to take back, I wanted to start with less. I didn't see any defficiencies that 284 would address, more like me adding it because I thought it was time (clueless shrug)

Almost no smell at this point.

Less than 10" tall.

I hadn't mentioned it before, but the seeds are from The Seed Fair
