What would you run? 2 different types? 15 and 15 or 3 10 10 10? Or all one?
This is where a plan needs to come in.
To start a new breeding run from scratch this is what I do........
Let's say you have 6 rows of 5 and in each row you have a new strain.
1. Northern light's
2. Sour diesel
3. Skunk
4. Cheese
5. Kush
6. Haze
I will select 2 out of 5 to reverse to male. I always select two plants with fast growth but slight differences in grow pattern for example one with short stocky traits and one with more branching traits and this gives me the option to pair up to a good female with the same pattern. I also take note of the dominant pattern and terp profile for future reference.
If you do the homework you will be able to map out a plan with the genetics you have growing . Example . Northern light's has a good dose of sativa growth traits from the haze genetics and bud structure from the indica Afghan. So a plan would say a potential cross will be a haze and a skunk cross northern lights.
Just a simple example. I use the same logic and research to make my strains.

A vanilla latte I moved to another tent.
You can see its well behind the rest in the breeding tent. The f1 seeds I made are full of unwanted phenos. End of the line for the vanilla. See ya.
