please excuse me if this thread has been done before.

has anyone done a light cycle of 10/2/10/2? i never grow in the winter because of temps dropping during sleep cycles. also i do not run 24/0 light cycle.
so long story short, i would like to shorten up my sleep cycle and have 2 a day so the lights can keep the room warm and temps have less time to drop.

any input is appreciated.
cheers everyone

Hey bolio bud, a few pages down is the following thread:
https://www.autoflower.org/index.ph...ts-on-the-effects-to-autoflowers.36331/page-2

In it, grower @Magic makes a strong case against multiple dark periods.

Some months back, I remember also reading a thread about what your favorite light cycle is -- 24/0 , 20/4, or 18/6 , and I think a grower in there commented about testing 5/1 or something similar. I think it worked for them but did not produce any additional yield. It would take some digging to find that post, and it was a large thread. I've also wondered if exotic light cycles could be made to benefit the plants somehow since autos are not photoperiod dependent but I think there are better ways to improve yield/quality.

In your case, bro--if you don't want to run 24/0, just run a small ceramic heater near your intake during the night cycle.

Just don't catch your tent or whatever on fire... :hothot: :pass:

thank you mr. scrogs! im going to look into this thing!

I think the veg time may suffer with an auto and less than 12hrs for the on cycle as it may behave like a photo and flower even earlier than normal.
