Hello, was wondering what you guys thought about my situation. I have 9 autos under a 600w hps. Space isn't a concern but heat is a little bit. My question is would u turn the 600w up to 1000w for flowering or add 2 mars hydro reflector series 48. I don't think the 600w hps I'm using for veg will be good enough for flower?

turn it up! All the way, and then some. You can get a cool tube. You add two leds and then you really will have some heat, but some of those 9 plants will really like them.

What is square footage of the area you are growing them in? What's your current temp in there now? Have you ever done a run with it turned up to 1000W? Personally depending on the square footage, I'd just stick with the HPS if it's already up, in place, and is being vented properly. Adding the two smaller panels is likely going to generate some a nice bit of heat, so it very well may be a horse apiece there. You could always turn it up to 1000W for a couple days to see what difference in temp it will be (or add the panels and see what difference that makes, then compare the two.)

I have a 1600W Mars II unit and it's every bit as hot as a 1000W HPS in terms of heating the tent. Won't burn the piss out of your skin like an air hood baking in light will, but still pumps out exhaust heat.

Depending on the coverage you're trying to attain, a 600W HPS is still fantastic for flowering.

Thanks buddy. I have a huge room was running 2 1000w hps all winter but of course the summer pissed on my parade haha. I'm able to keep the temps under control to a point. 13000 btu ac with a 8 inch exhaust inline the space the plants are under is only maybe a 4x4 but it's not a tent. Here's a pic. Only using maybe 1/4 of the room as the summer heat is to much for more then one light now Only using the left side

So go with the 1000 hps for flower and forget the leds?

I'm not sure your light footprint is adequate for 9 plants if you grow like I do in soil. My mature plants are about 2 feet square in [HASHTAG]#10[/HASHTAG] airpots. So for me 5 under a 1000w would be max. For 9 I would need more light.
