Grow Room 15 site RDWC planning - 1750GPH air pump102w, or 3566hGPH 202w?

Hey guys, just looking for a 2nd opinion before I start ordering the final bits of my equipment for my next grow tent. I know general recommendation is 1w/1g, so I should be fine in theory, but splitting 1750GPH between 16 lines sort of concerns me with how well it could push my air stones\diffuser....but, I'm also thinking 3566GPH might be total overkill. I don't need to stealth the project too heavily, but I'm not exactly trying to hear this pump when I'm in the living room.

The rest of the details I'm set on since I'm sure you're curious. 4'x8' tent under two Spiderfarmer SF4000s, firm believer in Mephisto Genetics and Megacrop, 15 sites 3x5.

Now what I'm not set on is the air pump as you can see, and I'm actually looking into air diffuser rings for the first time instead of air stones - anyone have an opinion\experience with them? I can't really find too many vendors that provide them, nor much info about them period - but the little bit of info I did find, is that it's easier on the pump to push air through them, is that true as well?

@WooksGoneWild take a look at my 12 site in this thread THC Farms grow room. I am using these air stones i find them to be the best ones i have tried and i have built my own diffuser rings bought diffusor rings and cheap airstones of all sizes and shapes. I actuallly opted for the 3566 gph pump. I love my bucket system and it is proven to grow a 2lb auto in 80 days using Mega Crop 2.0 but i am designing a new grow table that will be multi use for almost any grow style but more on that later.

Hey man, I just hopped over to your thread - holy cow! I was half asleep this morning and ordered two of the 1700GPH pumps, so pretty much same result I'm hoping for but maybe a little more quiet. I'm gonna guinea pig a few of those stones you linked too and see how I like them. I've got a friend building me a diffuser for my reservoir that I'm looking forward to seeing how that functions too.

What sorta dosage were you running on your nutes? I went about 1g/gal MC\SC the first 2 weeks, then upped it to 2.5g/mc 1g/sc, and from week 3 on until now I'm running 4g/gal MC and 1g/gal SC sitting around 850PPM and no sign of nute burn in sight. For the most part I'm letting the girls grow natural, but I did do a decent bit of defoliating the past 2 days - do you have any opinion on that? I've seen mixed reviews myself but the girls were getting outta control haha!

I typically run exactly what is on the back of the bag I use 1 gram per gallon for first 10 days end up at about 1250 ppm with MC/SC/Bud Explosion all mixed in during flower. I am starting with 0 ppm Reverse Osmosis water. You will have to be careful there is 11" between my buckets and it gets crowded. with some strains.

Hey good morning bud, thanks for the lowdown - it's nice to know I've got about 400ppm of headroom. Megacrop is crazy, I never thought I'd be able to run 1:1 the recommended nutes on the back of the bag. I'm only running MC\SC right now, but I'm gonna snag a bag of BE now that I know I can squeeze it in the regimen. You've also got me thinking about downsizing to 12 buckets now that you mention it...I try to snag strains that are mid size, but with hydro ya' never know what sorta beasts are going to end up growing out of those buckets lol.

What sort of chiller are you running? My reservoir is essentially a Yeti, and I'm going to be insulating my pipes and buckets so I'm thinking about running a 1/10 chiller that only specs up to 40 gal, but Hydrofarm told me that with everything insulated and my ambient air temp 72F that their 1/10 should be able to handle up to 65 gallons. Trying to decrease my wattage footprint honestly and if I don't have to go 1/4hp chiller then I'm not gonna.

I run a 1/4 on the system right now but it is oversized I think a 1/10 hp will be fine as long as you keep your room at 72 you should be able maintain 68 which is what I set my rez at.
