New Grower 1st Grow Autoberry

Hey mate, I use Plant Magic `Ol` Timers. But I don`t use `lights` (just sunlight!). I start low( 1/4 strength) and work m` way up(approx 1/2 strength)dosage wise , I also add a bit of epsoms and molasses in to the mix (helps with mag and calcium!) I`m not sure if this reply is of any help, but...:Sharing One:

Hey everybody. 1st post and first grow.
Was wanting to see what some of you more experienced growers think of my ladies.
I was wondering about a recommendation for flowering nuts.
I read something about fish emulsion from "MUDDY"
If anybody recalls that comment I would appreciate it if you could pass that info on to me.

6 Weeks
2x4 closet with 50 23watt cfl's
Yes I said 50-is that too much?
Yes I know they are crowded, but this is the only space I currently have.
Can/should I trim off some of the fan leaves.
Why are some of the tips browning? This also happened early on. but stooped until last week.
It was getting to 80-90 deg f.
Now temps are holding in the 70-80 deg f. range
Is humidity a major factor?
Currently between 45-55%
Is it ok to mist with spray bottle?

Hi Lizardtoad, here are some answers to your questions:

There are dozens of flowering nutrients available depending on where you live and how much you want to spend. Just asking for open recommendations on a worldwide forum may not get you very good answers. Are you looking for synthetic or organic? Fish emulsion would be considered organic growing and that's a different animal than synthetic nutrients. If you are interested in that, check out our organic forum for tons of good info. There are also bottled organic nutes like the General Organics BioThrive series. Here in the US, the Flora series from General Hydroponic and the Fox Farms Trio are some simple synthetic nutes that many people use. Do you have a grow shop nearby? Generally where in the world are you located?

More light is better, so 50 CFLs is fine as long as you keep the heat down. Below 80F is best, and around 90F is where I have seen the plants start to not look as happy. Humidity during flower is best below 50% to avoid mold, so you look to be OK there. Do not mist flowering plants with anything as you do not want to encourage mold or bud rot.

I personally do not pull off any fan leaves unless they are crispy and pretty much come off on their own. If they are in the way, you can tuck them under the new growth. As for the browning of the tips, that can be overfeeding or overwatering. Without more info on what you have done so far, it would be guesswork to try and give you an answer.

Hopefully these help a bit!

Thanks Andy
I am not particularly looking for organic.
I have been using MG tomato for veg.
I read some comments advising against this but I was already deep into that routine.
Would like to get something at box store like lowes/hom depot.
What I think I need to know more than a particular brand name is what ratio of N-P-K to use at what quantities and how often.
The are in 5G pots and are currently receiving two quarts of water daily.
I live in St. Louis area and there are multiple local nurseries around.
