New Grower 1st Grow Journal - Massive Midget and Candy Kush - Start May 29, 2015

Ok friends, back with a final dry weight and smoke report for the Massive Midget.

Massive Midget Dry Weight: 45.48g, right at the low end of the spectrum again. 25% Yield across the board.

Total Haul of smokable goods from 2 plants: 3.28oz.

Not bad for 80 days work.

MM SMOKE REPORT: Just had my first two bingers of the day of the massive midget. Very nice energetic high, motivating and happy. Nice taste already and it's only been curing for 5 days. A bit dank and sticky already as well, seems it will only improve with time. I think I like the MM high and taste more than the Kush, though they are both quite good.

Over 1.5oz each cant complain about that man! I got 2oz from 4 candy kush on my first run. Dont see my current ones yeilding much either but still have a soft spot for them. Will give massive midget a try sometime too looks like a real nice strain.
Well done again mate, look forward to your next grow

Awesome! 1.5 per plant is pretty good, particularly for a soil grow. What's more, looks like you got really NICE buds out of it and not just good yield. :)

I'm glad you gave the nod to the Massive midgets. I'm really liking the way they grow out so far and the buzz sounds good, too!

I'm having a tough time doing photos of my girls, now. They've finally stopped the stretch and it's mad budz going on but it's a jungle. If they stay on track....... I won't say it. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed. :)

Thanks mate. Good luck on yours, looking forward to seeing how the hydro set up affects your yield. Mine was grown in Perlite/Vermiculite Hempy Bucket as opposed to soil.

I think I'm pushing the limits of my lighting. I've got two CLW solar storm 440's on them but I've got 9 plants going. And the exciting thing is that this time, so far, no noticeable setbacks during the grow. Close to zero deficiency/lockout issues and they've been gulping water like crazy.

Actual output of the lights is around 300 watts each so that's roughly just 600 watts for 9 plants.

If each plant yielded 45 grams, that would be 405 grams with 600 watts actual output. The way they're growing, might exceed that. :).

I didn't reach expectations the last two times but this grow is much more vigorous.

Baggie day 124.

Oh the buds are a popping. I've got 5 colas taller than beer bottle already with big laterals. Plus another 4 or 5 smaller side colas going on. I think this is a sour diesel by the looks of the colas at this stage (tall and thin with lot's of sugar leaf development).

She is getting the usual weekly regimen of nutes and calmag, interspersed with Molasses feedings and then watering with just Cha Ching added. I found that when i add cha ching with the other nutes it's too much for this girl. So, cha ching now down to once a week. So, it's feed nutes and calmag twice per week, molasses water 3 times per week and cha ching water once per week.

Temperatures in the low 80's by day, high 60's by night, low humidity and drifting into fall as I write this.........perfect for finishing.

Still thinking will need to harvest after I get back from my trip to AMSTERDAM. Oh yeahhhhhh.........
