Hi all,
So I'm near/ at the end of my first grow and was wondering if y'all think she's ready. Lot of the white pistils have gone brown but I can't really see the trichomes color atm. Was wondering what y'all thought ? Not strong on the smell but she's very sticky, a little stunted. Qrazy Train. She's little but she looks pretty close up, lol :).Anywho, going away until Sunday and wanted to see what you guys thought as far as readiness, if she'll be ok for a couple of days ?

As always, thanks :).

This is kind of a personal preference among growers.

Peak THC-A content is usually found when theres all milky trichome heads and very little amber or clear, like under 5% on either.

A lot of growers that are growing to smoke flower will wait till theres some amber trichs on the buds themselves because the sugar leaves tent to mature faster than the buds. The longer wait tends to develop more cannabinoids and also gives the couch-lock effect. Or the sedative like mellow high. Also give a chance for the full array of terpene to develop. If you're looking to extract though you usually wanna harvest at the peak thc content because the more amber the darker rosin tends to be unless you wash.

So, what do you think based on what you can see ?

Looks mostly cloudy to me, I see a few amber trichomes on the sugar leaves in one of the pictures. Based on what I see with a good dry and cure it should be pretty good. But it also won't hurt to let it go a little longer.

Theres a great tool on Amazon for this is a digital microscope. Or even just a clip on macro photography lens for your camera.

This is the same one I use. I just put on a par of gloves, connect it to my phone, set my phone in the little tool pouch on my tent and jam it in the side of a bud. I just reccomend cleaning the protective spacer between plants and uses. You can snap a pic or just judge based on what you see.

So, I'll wait until I get back on Sunday and go from there. I appreciate the help/ advice. I got the spider farmer phone attachment, just not at the moment I was taking pics. I will look @ this on Sun. Have a great weekend :).

Two thoughts: it looks very close. You might consider harvesting the big colas and let the smaller ,lower buds ripen some more. Second: one concern when your plant is in its late stage is bud rot. Keep a close eye out for dark moldy growth on the buds.
It’s a really good looking plant!
