Hi bud ..just looked through the live help thread to see your problems :Sharing One:I agree with bOb, Warira & you ...she looks to be on the way out & past recovery .Good thing is you learned some stuff & hopefully wont make the same mistakes .
The problem could have been high temps causing algae / rot
... or maybe a light leak getting into the res - this makes the nutes go slimey & stuff clings to the roots like in your pics.
... possibly dust from the pebbles - I have had a lot of problems with that lately it clings to roots & suffocates them as well .
... plus the unknown PH & EC for the last couple weeks
before you start again its a plan to try & resolve these issues one at a time ... a cheap aquarium thermometer for res temps will help you know whats happening in there ... covering the buckets with reflective mylar ect will help .Moving the pump to a cool place ... anything to keep res temps low enough to not have the worry of rot ...
then you make sure the bucket is 1000% light tight .... the usual place that gets overlooked id the edge of the net pot .... where the pebbles cant quite cover all the holes , some mylar to block that & reflect the heat is great...
....getting the pebbles as clean a you can before use is a big help ... sometimes I boil them in a pan & rinse before drying & still get dudt in the res ..... a good idea is to run the res a couple of days early with just water & change it a rew times to clear as much dust away as you can before starting with nutes ...
now you have a meter & the calibration powders you can keep PH perfect :dance2: those sachets are to check the meter for accuracy so keep them safe & calibrate once every coupe of weeks
once you are happy with all that ,we will help with the 1st bucket of nutes ect .... do you have a PPM/EC meter mate.. your waters PPM before nutes & how much you give the seedling will all be important in getting them happy in the early stages :Sharing One:
