New Grower 1st Journal full T5 grow. diesel/girl scout & Blackcherry

I felt compelled to share any info and pics I have because I've been looking for months with only some results, hopefully someone finds this journal and goes "phew ok mine look alright compared to those, or if they just love researching.

Background:Found 2 seeds over months goin to dispensaries in Michigan and found a seed in a girl scout bud and a black cherry soda bud, I think Ive sorted em out by looking at pictures online the dark one being gsc and the lighter being bcs.(should note The buds tasted exactttly like gsc n bcs but I cant be sure its what they are. But finding these 2 seeds made me start growing, I basically took it as a sign. I started these 2 under a HTG T5HO. Then bought the diesel ryders and added another light. Currently as I make this post the 2 photostrains were born feb 12th and 2 diesel sprouted march 2nd. When my other one died on March 12th I germed the other 3 seeds and the popped at 3 days. So about 2 weeks old on those 3 the other one is a week ahead. My idea was to buy a 400 watt hps but I quit my job the other day, so that and bloom enhancers are out.(might have like $10) to spend on one.

Nutes:stump tea and doc green solutions a+b veg/flower. And Organocide at 2 weeks when I noticed gnats from my OF and it along with no water for 4 days killed all the gnats. Im also hoping it prevents any fungus/mold. Gonna only use as needed so bo more. Should be an all organic grow for the most part.

Soil: OF (3/4) LW (1/4)
Strains: Bought 5 pack Fem. diesel ryders in the joint soctor package and I accidentally killed one during transplant. (Never transplanting an auto again just straight to main pot.)
Lights: Started with 1 then 2 and just added yesterday another T5 a friend let me borrow. So 3 HTG 2 bulb hoT5's putting out 30,000 lumens in a 3x2 space.

Im sure im missing some things but all helpful comments welcome and encouraged but I try to keep a clean and orgarganized journal/life so please use the "like" button or p/m's for chatter/off topic post, very much appreciated.

One big dillemia Im having is light time. I want the 4 diesels to have as much light as possible. From feb. to march 20th had lights 24/0 vegging and then right after the 3 sprouted I started 20/4. I wanna start flowering the Phonos but again more light for the autos, so im gonna slowly adjust the lights until they start flowering (last few days). Will it flower in 15/9 from straight 24 for a month to 20/4 to 15/9? This next part is gonna sound crazy but I hate hate hate paying for seeds and clones so if any are male or hermies Im leaving them this is all medical bud for me and i will find all seeds and maybe make hash if i have to. I gonna take any seeds and start a larger breeding process between the 3 over hopefully the next year/2/3.

The gsc was fim'd once and I have been tying down large branches to get ligh on the middle same with the bcs but fim'd and then topped. Have done a lil training on the oldest diesel ryder.

I'm subbed for this one man I love Girl Scout cookie so tasty and dank :drool: I smoked some in a hotel room once and left for a few hours and when I came bac it still smelled like thin mints haha they look really good so far good luck with the rest of your grow!

The 3 that are 2 weeks old are small but coming along, I really think this 3rd lights gonna help alot compared to 2. I should also note Ill be switching to hps or led or ceramic after this but I have to stop donating money first and spend that money on grow equip next time. Most likely a HO LED if I can afford it, Purely just because it saves on energy. The diesel that is one month was also slow and I had a bad habit of pulling the extra large fan leaves to make room or lower branching. I also just switched to flowering nutes on all. Ive heard mixed reults on when to switch to flower nutes so i figured one at 3/4 weeks and the others at 2 weeks no biggie.another note a total of 5 clones were taken off the GSC and donated to an older patient. Also should note I have GH ph test kit up and down, 2 fans inside circulating and a hepa air filter pumping/sucking a lil fresh air out the top side. I also gave a misting for first time yesterday and it left a little residue, I loved how it perked them up real nice but never again. Might use baking soda water n wipe the leaves if it doesn't go away. Any suggestions about that issue, a good cheap bloom enhancer pref. no chemicals. And the light timer situation would be amazing. Sorry about the crappy pics they will get better but its 4:20 right now! Some more info though, I will be switching to hempey 3/4 Gallon 5x7x 8" high containers with 75/25 perlite/verm with canna drain to waste after these are done in soil. So any advanced tips input about sog hempeys beaudes the basics (possible problems) would be awesome. If anyone needs any pics, info, somekone to talk to, no problemo hit me up and ill try my best. Heres aome things ive done for myself the last couple months since being certified...all my productions. If anyone knows what girls scouts or blackcherry in veg/flower lmk what you think.

Hey Bandit, First of all welcome to AFN!

I'm glad you started this grow log using only T5s. Your plants are looking very healthy.

Looking forward in watching your progress, as I am going to be starting a T5 grow here myself shortly.
After I did a massive amount of research and saw some of the phenomenal results here at AFN , I felt like T5s would be the best lights for my situation.


This will be my first attempt at growing ever.

I just set up a tent/gear last night, including 2@4 foot x 4 bulb T5 HOs

I am a legal MMJ patient in my state, so I can legally grow 15 plants at a time. So, my plan is to start enough seeds indoors to grow 12 plants outdoors in a hoophouse. Most of them will be Northern Latitude Light Sensitive Strains (Various strains of HighRise gear), and some will be Autos.

I will also be growing out 3 Autos under the T5s while my outdoor grow is going. Two of them will be 2 different Dragon Strains, and 1 Ghaze X C99.

Thanks again for following your compulsion to start this thread.

Thanks Stickman, I wish I could do an outdoor greenhouse like you, good luck with that and congrats on getting all set up. I havn't even heard of those Auto's, but I'm very interested in possibly getting a few more so Ill be sure to keep an eye on your grow.

Thanks alot man I was checking out some of the strains and found some that flower under 14 or even 16 hours, perfect for going with autos in the same room if I ever do that again and it will even make more sense like that. Some people might question why? Well I only and will only be able to use one 51"x24"x48" tent. One reason Im useing T5's. I also like to veg for almost 2 months or more and lst and or train a little to keep an even canopy/inner growth. So mixing autos and photos actually works for me also. I have alot of ideas and not sure what Im gonna do yet. Its all just gonna depend what happens with this first crop. Luckily I gave out clones from this round so the favor could be returned when these are gone. The clones are ~2 weeks and doing very well.

I also added 2 pics of my new arrangement minus a couple adjustments after i took the pic. Right now i have the oldest diesel in a 2 gal. Felt pot in the middle hanging from the light. Along with two 2 week old diesels on each side also in 2 gal pots. The other 2 week old diesel is in a 3 gal. Felt. The blackcherry in a 5 gal. Felt and the gsc in a 3 gal. Plastic may or may not transplate into the 5 gal. Felt. If i do it will be within a couple days. I was about to add more pics but lights off for the night. Sorry bout any typo's I dont have a computer just a phone.
