Planning to put 3 auto seeds in the dirt tomorrow. Right now I have 6 CFL bulbs per plant. 4 x 2700K and 2 x 6500K.

In my head I think a mixed spectrum is best. I do have enough bulbs to go 5 of 6 2700K.

Thoughts?

What wattage bulbs and what size space.....

23w each bulb, (138w each plant). 2'x4'x5' tent.

Should be fine sir, Ideally 50 watts per Square foot would be 400 watts but your close..

Thanks, I had read that guideline before and figured my wattage was close enough. The NL Autos I will be growing say they go quickly to flower. That is why I was wondering about cutting back the 6500k to 1 of 6 or even going all 6 bulbs 2700k.

This is my first grow, so I guess I will find out. :dunno:

I would say go with the mix till vertical growth stops then go all 2700, When I started I started with all 2700 CFL's and did real well I used the 65 actual watt bulbs from home depot....

i know this is off topic and i apologise to the OP, goauto, im buying a 125w dual spec CFL, mostly to add some heat to my tent, do you need to use a reflector with them? or can you just leave them hanging?

I'm sure a reflector would help direct light but if its for heat I wouldn't worry about it..... I ran 3 of the rigs i posted befor for 6 lights and never had any negative effects....
