Lighting 2 Autocobs, 3 Toof Decay, 1 gal pots with drip stakes..

You are right, but i have so many seeds and hate to do 1 at a time..I've done it before with 4 fast buds strains in the same tent..(I made a journal in the fastbuds section and the buds are on my avatar.) But, I also yielded the same with 1 plant in a 3 gallon than 4 plants in 2 gallon pots. I honestly think I will do better this round though because I get less heat off these auto cobs than my last led light so that should play a pretty big factor. I'm also going to try to utilize a scrog net to keep the canopy even if the plants allow it. It's pretty sweet it's made my secret jardin for my specific tent it's adjustable all the way from the floor to the roof it has 4 clips on each corner that clips to the tent poles, just simply slides up and down.

Even more of a reason to only do 2. The whole point of a scrog is to spread out plants to improve yield of each plant. Laying 4 plants out in a scrog in a 2 x 2 sounds like a cluster, just my opinion, but you are going to overgrow your area.

Back this up 100% I am filling my first SCROG with (2) in a 3x3. When the (4) were vegging in my 2x4 space they out grew it and I was rotating them in pairs in and out from under the light. No way I'd think of more than two to flower in that space. Hell I would do one plant and veg longer and going to try that on the next run with the 3x3.......

Your right man, thanks for the advice! Thinking back to my 4 plant grow and how much of a bitch watering the ones in the back row was! Other than that it is do-able because I've done it before minus the scrog of course

You can veg autos longer? I'm assuming you grow photo strains, because all the autoflowers ive grown flower by themselves.. I've grown 4 plants before in my tent dare me to again? :smoking:

Yes when I say veg longer I mean with photo's I have yet to SCROG an auto but that is coming real soon.

BUT- I still believe if you are using nutes you can push the auto's to veg longer by giving "veg" nutes the first week or so of "flowering" which is the "stretch" period. Bigsmo does this and his grows speak for themselves. I have tried it in the past and seen the difference. I will be doing this on the SCROG, waiting on a sample kit of nutes.

I do however mess with my autos. I top them LST super crop and defoliate I do not believe in leaving any plant alone, these plants love training if you have a good breeder/genetics just like the photo period plants. I just took down a chemdogging that I topped, the main "cola" is many cola's and almost as big as the rest of the harvest:

"Main Cola" in my hand, the hanger was the rest of the plant, she was one of 3 in the 3x3 at the time. And she had half the tent, the only reason I had three is because the other two are not huge strains it's just meds for me, if not two max

In my opinion one of the biggest things people to do hurt their yields is not give their plants enough space.

Shot of the whole plant:

As for the dare, doesn't sound like you need much convincing to do it lol :d5: DO it, then I will be seeing the post of "hey guys, garden update. Just ordered another tent" lol :pighug:

Nice buds @Evil-Mobo . Now I'm pondering 1 plant in a 5 gallon pot.. that would be new for me, I usually keep them small in 2 or 3 gallon pots.. might take me awhile to get user to the watering in a 5 gallon though. Decisions, decisions...... :pass:

I will get shit for this, but it is what it is. It's what I have experienced myself and continue to do so.

Bigger pot=less watering is total BULLSHIT! It all depends on your plant/strain. In my last grow I had 8 plants in 20 gallon pots and I thought when I started cool won't have to water as much, BULLSHIT. If I went two days or more they showed it, and during the growth spurts they needed water everyday. Same thing with the 10 gallon pots I just used recently, no more than two days or there would be trouble in paradise lol........and that's with me using LED's this run and not my HPS or Blue MH........

@slowandeasy

I am going to test smaller pots with coco and want to try my hand (1st time) at automating my watering, can you go over your setup with the stakes and why you chose them over rings etc? When you have time? I would really appreciate it. Just debating myself between stakes and rings and not sure what size pump I need and what timers allow for multiple feeds per day.............

Thanks
EM

I agree, Especially with Coco. And I also agree about giving plants enough space. Crowding is not a good idea for quality or quantity. These little pink pots are by far the smallest pots I have used start to finish. However the consistency of the drip stake watering has made them extremely easy to take care of. My side buds are Bulking up now and the main colas are very dense and beautiful. It is my first time growing White Crack, they are super nice to grow. The Toof Decays in 1gal outgrew that space quickly. I would only be able to do 1 in that tiny space. Starting 6 Sour Cracks tomorrow to replace these 3 White Cracks when done. They ha e 2 weeks left. I will handwater til the White Cracks are done, then put them on drippers. They will be lollipopped. Single Cola donkey dicks will probably yield better than 3 without lollipopping. Sour Crack is not a scrogger
