2 sour stompers 4 cobs

Got them bent over pretty good in my opinion. So i decided to fim 1 growth tip on each plant other than the tops that i did few days ago.
We went threw the last harvest (when i say we i mean mostly me) already. I need to get my perpetual harvest in gear already. Seems i have quite a few loose ends that need taken care of.
Im curious if most of the plant got fimmed would it benefit or hinder harvest.

After FIMing 4 of my plants, topping one and letting another grow with only LST. I'd prefer to top rather than FIM. But its my first grow so take it with a grain of salt.

FIMming sounds like a no brainer when compared to topping. More colas, the better, right?

I do feel that it depends on your objective, although i understand how objectives can change during a grow....a couple times even.

With that being said, imo a newbs biggest obstacle when doing topping/fimming or lst is not the deed itself. But rather not knowing what to expect after doing the deed. Pictures, vids and journals only help to a certain extent but i don't see any better substitute.

When FIMming, I find that i need daily maintenance to keep them even, spread out, receive lights etc. Just one day overdue and they get covered up by leaves. 2 days and you won't know what to do next cos you don't recognize them anymore. I topped/fimmed/lst all around week 2. The next 2-3 weeks would require lotsa maintenance until stretch stops. I'm still waiting for that to happen. Defoliation helped a lot but to be safe, just remove some every other day or similar. If a big defo is done, leave it a few days without.

Space is also a problem cos spreading them lights out means decreasing intensity, which might not fly with some growers, especially if their plants are flourishing under lower/more intense light levels. Whether they grow vertically or horizontally, more space is needed and lights will have to be raised. Just a question of which growth style suits your setup better?

Basically, more budsites for fimming and if your plants are very healthy, can get out of control if you are not good with planning, forecasting and the likes.

I guess this is why they don't recommend newbs do it. But you really learn a lot about how they grow and different characteristics. I say go for it. We all wish to absorb the most from each grow so my suggestion is just do it.

Most newbs feel helpless and wish to do something (anything) to feel like they are a part of the process. This is when newbs like myself really screw up. LST really helps if you face the same issue as me. Cos it keeps you occupied and satisfies your need to be "involved" in the plant's growth. Less likely to do anything silly and regret it later.

Hope you don't mind my looong take on this subject, from a newbs perspective. I'm sure some real legit masters of AFN will chime in with some real good advice. I benefited greatly from reading the content these great ppl produced!

Hey all. I tried supercropping on 1 of the girls on 2 branches that i fimmed. I wanted give it shot and see how i fair at it. I must say i felt sick to my stomach seeing the branches i damaged.
I adjusted the ties on the top tucked some leaves and trimmed few leaves
Heres the pics

Im not sure if i have 2 different phenos or if hst (high stress training) is the cause but there is a difference between the girls. The girl i fimmed side branches on looks great. I also supercropped varies branches on her and removed fan leaves. I pinched a bit much on the 1st attempt of supsupercrop but she is starting her knuckles now. The tip is still green and growing well so i didnt totally botch it. I have also sc(supercropped) more spots. Just a little pressure was enough the hear the little pop sound. I also been adding calmag to every watering. I slowly introduced it this time. Long and short supercrop plant is looking to be a producer
My other sour stomper is staying low. Looks if she is starting her strech. Ive only removed 2 fan leaves so far. Done more lst with this girl than the other. Going let her get little taller and bend her over again and let the side branches catch up. Im going to sc her once she spreads out.
Want to pop 2 more girls in there in another week or so
I believe i fimmed the side branches to early sould have wanted little longer. Im not totally sold on the fimming side branches but the super cropping will be part of all my grows here on out. I need to amend soil with silica sand seems to aides the plant in recovering in away ive to read yet.

Hey there all. Day 37 or so. The girls are trucking rite along. The smaller of the 2 is starting her stretch finally. The 1 i did sc to 1st is loving it so it seems. I went and gave them a spray of terp n grep tues morning and removed alot of fan leaves today. Im hoping it wont delay things much if at all. The idea is they will bush out again and remove the fan leaves again. In hope to force buds to swell to catch pollen. I believe some call it schwazzing not sure if im doing it by the book definition but it is my best attempt.
Any1 else thats doing this style of grow any pointers would appreciated. Especially helping them recoup faster.
The girl I started sc to 1st

Read in a thread by @HashyApache a kelp and heavy carb would be a good choice to help the girls and future grows during high stress training.
Im currently using hi brix molasses which i believe covers the carbs
Im curious to what others are using for kelp if any1 cares to share
