Hello,

I'm still new to autos. I have a Blue Himalaya I mistakenly started in a 16oz cup that I was told I should tier transplant at 2 weeks (thanks lovely AFN members for telling me about this technique!), but life got in the way and I forgot to transplant. :(

My question is, is it worth transplanting now?
If so, is it worth going over 1 gallon pot?
(I have to buy my soil online so it's not cheap.)

P.S. The burn is from the soil, 1/2 FFOF and 1/2 Light Warrior.

I am a newbie too and sure a pro will come along soon

are there holes for run-off under that cup?

I have had a plant grow like that under the soil it had a big root system and on top tiny, it seems you have a lot of perlite in your mix too once you move it to a bigger pot it might rocket like mine did although after repotting it took mine a couple of weeks before it started erupting foilage

theres more issues going on there than transplanting sort your media out first

imo id scrap it sorry bud

first tier start with lw only

Yes, there are holes. I use 2 cups, a clear one with holes that's in a red one, so I can pull up the clear one and see the root development. :)

There isn't much of a root system. It's been under 24 hours of light since sprout. No sign of flowering.

Can you elaborate? And I'm sorry but I didn't understand your last sentence.

in my opinion the plant looks to stunted to continue with. overfed and over watered

your first tier should have been light warrior only

I personally don't see too much damage aside from the burn, which made it stop growing for about a week but now it's recovered and has resumed growing and quickly!

I think I'm going to transplant anyway (tiered method) as I've been wanting to try BH for so long. I just want to know if it's worth transplanting into a pot bigger than 1 gallon or not.

I'd appreciate an answer regarding the pot size.

all autos like large pots 1-4g
theres no clear answer as your plant that stunted it may not use the additional media as autos do most of there veging the first couple of weeks so its a gamble

at 26 days it should be 10x as big

Ah, okay I understand now. Thanks for the answer, agito.

I want to try the strain, so I'm going to go ahead and transplant into 1 gal Smart Pot then put it outdoors. Hopefully the sunlight will help.

Hi Desert Rose
I know this isn't the answer you want to hear but I honestly would scrape that and throw it out.... Autos go by age so my thinking and I'm a newbie , so this could just be coming out of ass who knows but from ALL the reading I've done on this site I've learned ALOT. The plant is almost 1 month I'm not sure if it does goes into a bigger pot it may rebound and begin a better growth but ultimately in the end even in the big pot it probably won't grow more than two or three times the size it is now... If it survives and does kick into flower I honestly doubt you'd get more than 3 or 4g dry...
I have just started with auto and sorta made the same mistake with my first ladies and what I dd was start them in 1lt airpots and than about aprox two weeks later transplanted into a 3.4gallon air pot. The plants took off and are doing better than I would've expected. The problem is they all to me seem stunted (though just could be the nature of the autos)
My plants are about same age as yours(look at my threads you'll see) so I started two beans in a 3.4g airpot each... They are about a week old and they are honestly ALOT bigger than the same strain at same age in the 1lt.

Also what strain is it you have in that cup? Any chance to restart? Is it a fem or reg seed? It could just be interesting if you do replant and see how it does... It never hurts to try new things, so of time, soil are not an issue for you I say go for it! But I can promise you if you start a new seedling in that same size 3.4g pot you'll notice a HUGE difference jn growth(my 1lts at this age looked more developed than the ones in the 3.4g but ones in the 3g airpot may not as as many set of leaves but the ones that they do have are much much bigger)
What type of light is the plant under? Cab you give us more info?
Best of Luck
