Mephisto Genetics 2Stoned2Care Does Mephisto Grapey Walter+Autopot

the coolest thing about biotabs/organics in autopots is that if your water is decent you could just plug your autopots straight into the tap.

As we do, we've been watering straight out of the hose for the last year +\- with the biotabs,

We're using a reservoir with the autopots, we thought about setting up a toilet style system with a ballcock to autofill the reservoir, but then heard that rarely an autopot valve could stay open.. So it's not worth the risk imo, plus if the only thing we have to do is fill the Rez and then manage the plants, I think that's about as lazy as we should be :D

The autopot grows will just be for testing and for flowers, but we want to stay hands on and hand watering for any of the seed work.

Cheers Mitch

i was thinking of something like a pressure regulator. might take a bit of fiddling but you could conceivably have a grow where you really just do absolutely nothing for the most part. but yeah if you're going to be spending that much time in with the plants anyway there's really no point. i could see it being useful for either small, low maintenance home grows (+stealthier than a reservoir) or a bigger commercial grow.

not to hijack the thread, but do you do the full biotabs regimen (all the additives) or just the tabs themselves?

We use just the tabs alone, in amended recycled soil (worm castings, and bat guano) but for sure our well water contains some nutrients too.

Dont worry not hijacking.i am interested in the bio tabs as well,i just wonder if they will work in an autopot because of the water being wicked up instead hand watering so as the water goes through it takes the nutes with it to the roots

Yes I see your logic, it doesn't quite make sense practically, I can just say it's definitely the way the biotabs guys do it, and well, we can give our feedback soon here too.

I would say as we've already been watering from the top down with the tabs in situ, they will have already started to activate and be releasing nutrients into the medium. Then when the autopots start to do their thing and the medium gets saturated they will keep breaking down gradually and releasing nutrients furthermore.

Time will tell :D
