Hey guys!

I mentioned this in another thread, but here's our Tim's lazy grow for flowers using plain water and drippers and biotabs. It's been slightly cobbled together with what we had laying around, this tent was previously just used for mothers and cuts.

Here's the specs:

tent - 2.4m x 1.2
Lighting - 2 x hps - have been on 400w so far, we can crank these up to 600 if necessary,
but with summer on the way, they may well remain as is.
2 grow northern hs1's

Total wattage - 940w

Reflectors - Xtrasun - Low budget aircooled reflectors - Glass removed, no cooling for them in place.

Fan - Box fan 5" - years and years old

One clip fan thus far, we'll add an extra one as they progress.

Drip system - made by tim, two drippers per pot, 5 minutes of water every 24 hours at present (adjustable)

Pots - smart pot knock offs - 15 Litre

Medium - Mephisto recycled soil: Used biobizz lightmix, extra perlite added @ 1x 7 litre pots worth - per wheel barrow. Worm humus @ 1 x 7 litre pots worth per barrow, Powdered bat guano 1/2 liter per barrow.
To start the seeds, approx 1x 4 liter pot was scooped out of the brimmed pot and replaced with same volume of NEW lightmix.

Water - directly from our well (High EC, but content unknown)

Feed - 2 x biotabs per pot

Lighting hours - 20/4

Training - A couple of quick sessions of leaf tucking.

Strain - 3 bears og, 18 of
...................................................................

That's your lot basically - I'd put these at days 25-30 from sprout. I'll find out exact dates asap. * Edit * Seeds were planted 6th May - 25 days ago

You may not believe this but could actually be our first grow where we haven't transplanted from 1.5 liter into these size pots.

All being well, if this goes smoothly, I think an end result of 800 grams +/- would be nice, but I'm never one to count my chickens before they hatch, so we'll see.

Heres a few pics from just before.

When young they were packed as tightly as possible, we've just spread them out a little bit now. There's a bunch of nice side branches coming up.

Cheers!

Here's some retro-active pics from the beginning stage:

Re-cycled soil mix, center scooped out, biotabs popped in. We found out later, that placement isn't ideal, 5 cm down at the top of the pot is where they need to be, to make sure the full pot and roots receive the nutrients released.

Smaller pot of lightmix ready to be put back in.

The threebogs currently are still growing and stretching, but flowering is setting in!
I'll get an update soon.
Cheers

So is that it @mephisto ?

Yeh! No one replied so I forgot about it :D

The plants pictured in this setup were actually supernatural of, the 3 bog filled the pig shed room we have, the best of which were pollinated with Walter white.

Cheers

Hey mitch, what was the approximate yield using this setup and feed method .

Did you pull the 800g you was hoping for ?

Curious as I'm tempted to try these tabs.

Hey Nabzster, the total was 750g.
Around 500g of primo nugs, and the remaining 250 were little pop corn buds.
However the supernatural grew pretty tall, over a meter on average, had we employed some training a little before the half way point the amount of fluff would have been drastically reduced.

I believe all we added aside from plain water was some ripen late on.

But for battling heat, and just letting that tent tick over, the result wasn't bad.

I'd definitely trial the tabs for a grow and see how you get on with them.

Cheers Mitch

Hmm approximately 1.5 zips per plant is not bad at all for a low maintenance soil grow in 15l pots .... I think I'm convinced enough to give em a go !!!

Shorter plants or training would have made a big difference to the yield, the penetration of a 400w hps for that space just isn't enough.

But the low maintenance aspect of the grow, it's still a nice amount of nice flowers for very little input

Cheers
