New Grower 3 Day Seed did not sprout

Hey Autflower network.

Finally i planted my first seed straight into the pot. not sure the strain but its from RQS

Mars Hydro II 400 LED
Pre mxied Soil 30% perlite
24"x24"x55" Tent
6 Exahust fan
2 6' Clip Fans
Smart pot 5gal
GO BOX General organics O

I soaked the soil til little bit run off. Took the seed planted 1inc deep"Maybe a little bit deep"

Am on the 3rd day nothing happening. i spray the surface with phd water just to keep it moiste

Temp 27-29c RH 48-57 % Light 24 hours almost 40 cm away from the pot.


I have AC in outside room, for later control over temp RH.

Am afraid i planted the seed to deep.

Is there any thing i can DO to guarantee the seedling make it to surface, is the light toO far or close.

i need some help/advice regarding this stage.
when the seedling start to pop from the soil should i change light/temp/RH.

WILL start my journal once the seed pops from the soil

Patience Weedhopper, patience. 3 days for a non germed seed is not a long time.

Give it til day 7 before you go digging for it lol.
Day 3 is the earliest i have had them break surface typically day 4-5. No need to panic yet.

But it would not hurt to give a spritz of water where you planted. Move a little dirt with the water. Maybe you see a tail.

An inch is pretty deep! I stay about a half inch deep, 3/8th is more what I shoot for.

mine have been soaking for nearly 3 days today and only just cracked the shells so put them in the root riot cubes...probably the longest its taken but ive had some go on for nearly 5/6 days before...i find directly into soil takes longer!

I don't quite agree with that. I pop straight into soil everytime. No soak. Unless a bad bean or i drown it. Almost always by day 5 at latest to see the baby.
You may shave a day off germing outside the medium tho.
But i say this knowing i SUCK at germing with anything but soil.
Pods rooters rockwool. Horrid success rate for me. So bad i modify rockwool cubes now to grow hydro and still germ with soil haha.

i do agree though they should always be put straight into soil, its how they should be done naturally so actually they should sprout in soil no matter what...i just find the paper towel method decent and its never failed me....also it means you dont have to go digging in soil if they dont sprout...ive started germing them in a glass of water until they split then chucking them straight into the soil now...but i tried some root riot cubes this time as they have been lieing around opened...hoping a few have sprouted by tonight!

i also think its harder to judge as a noob how wet the soil should be for the seeds as well...i think its much much easier to judge in paper towels!

There is no right way lol. Just the ways tgat fit your personal prefs. Im sausaged fingered. So handling germed seeds is like handling very delicate germed seeds haha.

What do u mean ? it wont see the light ? can i fix this ??
