New Grower 3 x Bubble, 1 Kaya 47, 1 Sweet Tooth, 1 White Widow, 1 La Diva

Never ph'd my soil.

I would ease off the nuets as I see you were feeding them very early on, the soil has enough in for the first couple of weeks anyway, no?

My new grow (2nd so no expert) I didn't give anything but water till week 4-5 I think. And watering for 2 weeks was just the top of the soil.
:pimp:

:peace:
ATB

Only a tiny bit of root juice at week 2 then more nutes 3rd and this week.

Ive got another grow going. Im going to hold way back on nutes for these and see what happens. Ive got a Cali Haze that is 4 weeks old and has only had water. Shes got lime on surface soil. Run off is perfect.

Ive just done a ph test on all the nutes and mixed with a 6.5 water they ALL drop to around 5.4 !!!!!

thats to low... ph in = water + neuts... so your ph in is 5.4

i`l get someone with more soil experience to head on over to your thread and see if they can figure this out.

im not formilluar with biobizz..but that just sounds weird

I know its odd. Ive loaded top dressing up with lime and run off today was 6.3. much better. but I did ph balance the nutes - and I know I shouldnt be doing that !!!! :coffee2:

Honeslty id Feed 7.0 WATER for a.feed.or.2 ...
I feed Positive Then Neutral Water then Negative charge feeds the Guanos Part ..

ph in is 6.5. but when nutes are added it is generally lower. I dont adjust as this is supposed to damage the effects of the nutes - according to Biobizz.
Dont worry about that too much mine goes in at 5.2 at some stages in my feed :coffee2: Im under the same impression that Chemical PH up and down is supposed to damage the living micro herd in the products. Bear in mind i always used to PH every feed and my girls did fine. I do find the Lime works a treat and i have 2 girls on week 9 and are as healthy as a girl is veg... So conclution is use lime around week 5 and add some more around week 8(if its a 12 wk or more strain) and the ph stays on track. Keep Alg A Mic on 4ml per l from week 4-5 right up to last 7-10 days and you will be golden:peace:.

Best not to PH and add lime it will be quite hot after a week or so. Make sure you dont over do it on the lime i use 1 table spoon around the base of the stem and that lasts around 3-4 weeks. Make sure after you have watered a little bit to smudge in the lime as it goes realy thick ontop.

Ohhshh your too kind bro and your also bang on, Its what i used to do before i started using the Garden lime and it does work after 2-3 feeds.

Cool. I'm looking into a few things at the mo. I am definitely not going to use chem up and down any more. If you think about it we are using organic soil and nutes - chems will destroy both. Plants might be ok with it but it just doesn't seem right so ive binned the stuff.

Oxygenating water does bring it up slightly but not quite to 6.5

So looking into Humic acid - has any one any experience with this? Seems like a good trooper for many reasons including raising ph ; Hum-Bolt | Humboldt Nutrients

Just got water from ph 6.7 up to 7 by oxygenating. Fed that to my bubble. Run off was 6.39. will do that for next 2 feeds. "Dancing Psiren"

Bought this - can't wait to see how it does. Got some Cal mag too

HUMBOLDT NUTRIENTS - HUM-BOLT 473MLS CONTAINS:

473 millilitres of Humboldt Nutrients - Hum-Bolt

HOW HUMBOLDT NUTRIENTS - HUM-BOLT WORKS:

Humboldt Nutrients - Hum-Bolt contains a very high quality natural source of highly concentrated Humic Acids. Humic Acid is a substance found naturally in soils which binds itself to nutrients and then transports them into the plant. This natural chelating agent assists in the smooth and consistent uptake and delivery of vitamins, minerals and trace elements in soil and plant-foods. The Humic Acids found in Hum-Bolt are long-chain which create a thicker liquid than FlavorFul. Although this means that it is more appropriate for use in hand-watered systems, the added benefits of using along with FlavorFul are that Hum-Bolt also aerates the soil, increases microbial activity and reduces salt build-ups. Hum-Bolt can be used at any time during veg or flowering to improve nutrient uptake and transport around the plant. This leads to an improvement in plant health, vigour and resistance to disease and stress, as well as potentially increasing yields. For any given dosage, Hum-Bolt is many times more concentrated than virtually any other Humic Acid product on the market, making it great value-for-money.

Hum-Bolt can also be used as a foliar spray. However, caution should always be used when using foliar sprays on dense flower-buds as it may encourage mould. Whether it is used as a root-feed or foliar-feed, Hum-Bolt helps to make sure that your plants are healthy, vigourous and productive.

Week 6 update - White Widow and Bubble

Ok so my girls got sick. I really think it was mag lock out - but I also have a feeling NPK wasn't getting through as it should. I gave straight water for 3 feeds. Then I whacked them with some mag. (making sure ph was up otherwise mag and any other nutes added for extra are just stored).
Pics reveal the continued lock out - takes at least a week for recovery. However I feel they are getting through. After water they had two feeds with shots of Epsom salt (mag ) and then biobizz bloom as WW is week plus into flowering. Today I banged them with a lot - grow, bloom, calmag and humic acid.
The humic I have just got - it can up pH but it is not as high an up a I thought so I will not be able to use it all the time as an up or I will overdose them.

However with oxygenating and the acid, soil ph checks and now whacking them with some heavier nuting (ie what they should be getting) I might see a change in their progression. Here's hoping Bob ( they get Bob played to them too for encouragement)

Ooooh been giving algamic a foliage spray once or twice a day too - they are loving that

TODAYS FEEDING;

Bubble pH in with whacky nutes 6.55. Run off 6.44  And she had nearly 1 litre before I could get a small run off :crap:

White Widow pH in with whacky nutes 6.3. Run off 6.25. Not as good so added more lime.

Last but not least is Cali Haze - an amazing plant. he ha been dropping her leaf last 24 hour - under or over water ? Well i calculated it must be under as she doesn't get much - but this pic is after watering today :WTF: so it definitely no water for her !!!!!!!! lol

First pic Bubble on left WW on right. second pic WW flowering

Cali haze - lol poor gal. When she cool shes great - give a few days before she get back to herself. To be fair she is a difficult one to calculate. Cali Haze's don't harvest till 120 day - so shes in for the sloooow ride. Means slooow watering obviously lol
